Pet care experience
**UPDATE: 8/26/21: Lots to report! Via word-of-mouth, my animal business has kept me busy. Before, Covid I was walking, sitting, and dropping in on 8+ dogs daily. It was heaven. Now looking for more fur-buds to add to my schedule. Please contact me for any questions or referrals. My father is a retired Colonel from the Air Force, which meant we moved every 2-3 years. Dog walking became my way to meet neighbors and make the newness less awkward. Around 12-years old, I was walking and sitting: Golden Retrievers (Sam!), Rottweilers (Zebbie!, Buddy!), Akitas, Huskies, German Shepards (Hoss!), English Bulldogs (Fanny, Tommy, Tootsie Roll), Dachshunds (Heidi!, Georgie!), Aussies (Gracie!), Maltie-poo (Lucy!), and various mixed breeds. I love 'em all... all sizes and all breeds. If it's a breed I haven't worked with, I do my research (with pleasure). I'm a college graduate who most recently worked 10 years at a talent agency, due to downsizing, I was laid off. This gives me the opportunity to do what I truly love, get involve with animals. In the Fall, UCLA extension is offering an Animal Behavior course, I'm hoping to enroll, as well, as their Pet Care Seminar in April. I want to be as knowledgeable as possible when caring for your precious family member.
Reviews
Jill was absolutely incredible. She watched our dogs while we travelled internationally and felt so comfortable leaving them in her care. We have a needy English bulldog, and a scaredy cat Boxer and Jill did so well with them! Definitely recommend.
If you are a person are a dog and are having a bad day go see Jill. She will uplift your soul. Jill has a special affection for kids and animals large and small. She is most at home caring for animals and can relate to them. She can communicate with them in her own way. Most importantly , Jill is a responsible hard , diligent worker who can give her clients peace of mind that their pet is in good hands. She is also loaded with common sense and can be depded upon to make the right decisions in the absense of the owner. She will treat your pet as her own. Jill is also the person who will respond quickly to a short notice pet care requirement. SIgn her up!!

Pre-departure, I come over and the owner and I discuss all things necessary for keeping the animal at home with personalized attention and love. Every animal is different and should be cared for in that manner. There's no one way to care for an animal in their home - gotta check out personality.
Information Jill W. would like to know about your pet
If I'm with a breed that I'm not familiar with - I do my homework. I research, research, research. Ideally, I would like to come over, visit with the animal and take the animal on a walk with the owner.
A typical day
Certain breeds enjoy certain types of walks. Huskies like to dig, explore, are very curious and like adventure. I would take them to a Canyon which provided tons of "smells." I take bulldogs on slow, leisure strolls around the neighborhood and if it's super hot, I bring a lemon with me to break up his phlegm (acid from lemon makes it dissolve). Different breeds have different needs. It also depends how close the owners want me to stay near their house. I always get excited if I'm spending time with a breed I've never experienced. I do research and read up on the dog and it's history. I always find it fascinating. I would love to walk a Mastiff (all types) a Brussels Griffon, Affenpinscher, Komondor (have him wash my car), and anything else in-between.

I work for the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. The Zoo is City owned, which means, to get hired, I had an intensive background (FBI Livescan) check completed, as well as, current shots. Hopefully, working for the City and their stringent hiring process will add an extra layer of comfort when hiring me take care of your pet.
