I was a special education teacher for five years, but now am a stay at home mom with my son and live with my husband who is a medical resident. We have an english bulldog, and olde English bulldogge, and a collie. We also have two ragdoll cats who are both certified therapy cats and an exotic shorthair. We are such animal lovers and enjoy spending our weekends and nights with our pets. My husband always grew up with dogs and I have always had dogs around in the family as well. I have always dog sat for neighbors growing up. We always take our pups outside to play, or on the cold days have them play in our finished basement that is a big open space. They also go for daily walks and love playing with their many toys! During the days your dog spends with me it will get lots of love and attention. I would love to spend time playing with your pup and their favorite toy! We would love to care for your pup when you are gone! We truly pride ourselves on the best care and treat your dog as one of our own. We try to be as consistent as the family with pups, so that they are comfortable and feel as though they are at home. I typically sent pictures/videos of your dog during a stay which can be requested to be sent through the site, via email, or text based on your preference! Why I love dog/cat sitting: I have been a dog lover my entire life. I love to be able to experience different breeds through sitting and it is so fun to get to know different personalities based on each breed. I always loved being at people's homes with dogs and dog sitting growing up. This has become not just a job for me, but rather a passion. I genuinely love having dogs stay with us whether it is for daycare, a night, or a few months! I do have a lot of experience with kitties as well and avidly volunteer for a popular cat rescue in the Midwest. About my yard We have a yard, and it is fenced! We love to play fetch with the pups outside and they love to play chase out there! We also have a giant finished basement to have dogs play during the colder months. My experience administering medication My bulldog has eye drops and oral medication for his allergies. He also gets his wrinkles and ears cleaned nightly. My collie is on medicine for anxiety and does not love to take pills, so we have gotten good with hiding his medicine inside of treats. We have had many dogs stay that required different medications or special care instructions such as diapers. My dogs are my life and I understand as an owner how you are looking for someone to take good care of your pups while you are gone. **We did take in dogs for boarding for quite a few years. At this time, I am currently only doing check-ins due to adjusting to a newborn.
