Hi! My name is Jill 🤗 Lovely to meet you! I’ve raised, trained and cared for small and large animals in both personal and professional settings (including dogs, cats, dairy sheep, horses, cows, chickens, and the sassiest of La Mancha and Nigerian Dwarf goats 🐐 .) I love animals of all shapes and sizes and am comfortable with multiple pets at time, while also being especially observant of pack and herd dynamics to make sure all furry friends are safe and happy. I am comfortable administering medication, caring for older animals, am majorly attentive to details/instructions, and staying in contact with you through updates and candid photos of your pets while you away. During the months of August-May, I teach K-8th grade Visual Art, so my availability changes a little for drop-in/daytime visits but I’m always free before and after school. Jill takes amazing care of my dog when she is here! She has a very sweet and understanding way with pups. She takes pics throughout the trip so I can see how Pippa is doing. She takes great care of things at my house as well; I always feel completely comfortable when I travel knowing Jill is taking care of my baby! I highly recommend her!!
Jill is absolutely wonderful. After having many bad experiences with people on rover bailing on me or not working out, she agreed to watched my cats the night before I was supposed to go out of town. I thought I was going to have to cancel my trip and she saved the day. Also, in my 15+ years of having animals, this has to be the first time I've ever come back to not find puke on the floor or some other mess. She took great care of my cats and kept my place clean!
Jill took wonderful care of my new pup…. She has so much love and patience with both animals and people! She checks in while I am gone and sends adorable pics of my baby girl so I don’t miss her too badly! I highly recommend her for all your pet needs ❤️

I am comfortable staying in client’s homes with pets. I also have a very willing and playful dog (up to date on all vaccines) who is able to come for play dates, if that is something you seek for your pet too!

It’s important for me to know about any issues or aggressive behavior (biting, challenging other dogs, growling, barking, etc.). I also want to know how they react around other dogs (people walk dogs in my neighborhood often), as well as if they are potty trained, have special diets, have special training, and if they have any soothing/comforting things that help when stressed. I love mixed breeds/mutts, but am partial to huskies, great Pyrenees, golden retrievers, and Australian shepherds.
A typical day
There are parks and sidewalks around my neighborhood. In the summer, I like to go to the MetroParks and surrounding hiking trails. We also may go to the different dog parks downtown or to the river trail.

I’m a teacher with a pretty open summer schedule. Mid-August til May I will be at school early morning until 4p, but am available weekday evenings and weekends.
