Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Jill and I’m a Rhode Island native. I moved here April 2021 for some more adventure in my life! I have been working with dogs for over 10 years & I am currently a dog trainer at PUPS in Sugarhouse. I’m dog CPR certified and knowledgeable in administering medications to dogs. I've watched and walked dogs of many different breeds, from labs to corgis to chihuahuas to Newfoundlands! There is no dog too old, young, big, or small for me to care for- I love them all! I’m experienced in feeding, walking, playing with, cleaning up after, giving medication, and making sure the dogs feel loved. I make sure that there’s always a wagging tail because the dogs' happiness is what I strive for. If you have cats, reptiles, fish, rodents, & farm animals, no worries - l have experience caring for them as well! I live in a dog-less household, so I would love to spend quality time with your pup. In my home - I live in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced in yard, which will help put your dog at ease. They will sleep with me in my room (in my bed or a crate). I can bring your dog to work with me, or I can keep them at my house to nap all day and come home during my break to let them potty/go for a walk. As a dog trainer, I have every dog supply you can think of (especially toys 😀) At client’s home - I will keep your dog company in their home where they are used to having all their belongings and try to maintain their everyday schedule. I can keep them at home while I work, or take them along with me. We will spend the rest of our time together bonding with some strolls at the park.

I have no breed preferences because I love all dog breeds! I would like to know if the dog is dog/animal friendly, what the dog's personality is like, if the dog has any allergies, if the dog has any sickness/disability and if so, are there any special treatments it may need to have. Does the dog take medications? Has the dog ever bitten anyone?
A typical day
I'll go for walks on bike paths, the park, hiking trails, or anywhere else the dog may love to exercise! Some fun activities we will do include: going for car rides, play fetch/play with toys, enrichment activities, learning new tricks, etc.

Availability
Pet care is my full time job! As a dog trainer, I work a full week teaching and playing with dogs of all ages and sizes. When I’m home, I help my roommates care for their cats.
