Dog-Lover Who Also Loves Long Walks

Growing up, I’ve had family dogs that I was responsible for walking, bathing, and feeding on a regular basis, but since I’ve adopted my cat Jinksie, I’ve also become a cat-lover. I love to walk for exercise, and doing it a dog makes it 100% better!

I prefer to care for pets in clients’ homes since my cat may not do well with all other cats. I learned a lot about patience and letting pets open up to you after adopting my cat. Previously, I’ve only had experience with family dogs who were outgoing and affectionate and playful. Otherwise, I can feed pets; I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

Please let me know if your dog or cat has special needs, like health, dietary needs, or anything else that might be a quirk. For example, my cat has asthma, so I would ask that candles and aerosols be kept away from her. So anything like that would be helpful to know!
A typical day
I like to play catch with dogs and take them on walks. I enjoy watching them be curious and get all the sniffs in on walks. I enjoy walking down to Rock Creek Park, and I would probably like to take dogs through the neighborhoods on 16th St.

Availability
I work from home most days and need about an hour break each day to reset, so I usually go on a walk, so dog-walking would fit perfectly into my schedule. I can also drop in for visits in weekdays in the afternoon. On the weekends, I am also usually pretty free if contacted in advance and can have more flexibility for home visits.
