Pet care experience
I am a pet parent to Bella (dog), Gertrude (cat) & Bagheera (cat). I adopted Bella at the age of 2 months and personally trained her to sit, lay down, rollover, high five and stay. Gertrude on the other hand was a stray cat from my neighborhood that I took in. I've fostered other stray cats and found them loving homes. My love for animals is the reason I also started to foster for the Humane Society of Charlotte and Animal Care and Control. My most recent adoption was one of my fosters from ACC. Jharna did an awesome job with our two pups while we were on a 12-day trip (over New Years to boot!). They seemed so happy and relaxed when we got home. We appreciated the regular photos and videos of them and loved seeing how they took to Jharna. One of our dogs is an anxious Husky and Jharna’s calm demeanor seems to have been a great fit. Would absolutely book again!

When it comes to my own animals I treat them like royalty and will do the same for your fur babies. I have a fenced-in backyard where my cat and dog like to lounge out in the sun. All of my animals are extremely spoiled if given the chance I'd like to do the same for you! I empathize with how difficult it can be to leave your companion when you go out of town, I am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure your fur baby is as comfortable as possible during that time!

Information Jharna W. would like to know about your pet
Given that my dog is a Pitbull mix and I understand that aggression is a developed trait I am willing to accept dogs on the aggressive breed list. With that being said if your animal does display aggressive traits despite the breed I am NOT willing to put my own animals, roommate, or myself in danger. Also given that I take a lot of pride in my home and the amount of work that I have put into renovations if your animal has tendencies of chewing or anxious behaviors please make me aware so that I can make an informed decision on whether I want to take that risk in my house! *All animals must be up-to-date on vaccinations!* *Dogs MUST be cat friendly, if unsure, I recommend a meet and greet at my house so they can meet Gertrude & Bagheera in advance*
A typical day
My neighborhood is dog-friendly and has a beautiful walking trail (greenway) conveniently located a few streets from my house. If your dog enjoys engagement with other dogs this is a wonderful opportunity to do so considering that you will find a lot of dog owners on the trail at any given time of the day.
