Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Jessie! I've grown up around dogs my whole life. I've always been taking care of my own dog or caring for someone else's dog. I've worked with mostly medium-sized dogs, but I'm comfortable with any size! I do my best to be aware of a dog's personal needs. I also love taking dogs on walks and letting them explore in a controlled environment. I also have experience taking care of cats. I lived and helped care for one two years and I've loved this new experience 💓
Reviews
Jessie walks our dog every day and has become a trusted and reliable member of our support group. Our pup Cam loves her and seems happier now that she is getting a long walk that is far more than a short pee break.
Jessie was great as always! Very flexible in scheduling and communicative
Great communicator and was flexible given it was my first time using the app.
Jessie responded immediately to a same-day request and helped our 5 mo old puppy feel comfortable right away! Would love to have her stay with Georgie in the future and would recommend her for any puppies needing care.

My first rule is to never let a dog out on their own. There must be an enclosed area for the dog to run around in or a leash that I can hold onto. I've had to learn the hard way with my personal dogs growing up the dangers of letting them off leash in an open environment. Thus, I only interact with dogs in safe environments where I know I can best care for them. I pay attention to the needs of a dog. If I notice a dog needs to go out, I immediately stop what I'm doing and let them out. I don't listen to any kind of music/podcasts while I walk a dog because I find that I am able to pay more attention to the needs of a dog on a walk without headphones in. If I notice any ailments, whether physical or psychological, in the house or on a walk, I will contact the owner immediately. I make sure to change their water daily and give them plenty of exercise and/or mind stimulation. However . . . YOU ARE THE EXPERT ON YOUR PET. While I have many years of dog experience, I recognize that an owner will know their pet better than I know them. Thus, I do my best to follow any and all instructions to a T. For owners who are more flexible with pet care, I tend to do research on a breed to insure I am giving them the best care. Dogs need plenty of exercise! I am down to play in the backyard with your pet or at a dog park (if you feel comfortable with this). When I walk a dog, I let the dog dictate the direction we walk in as long as it is safe (i.e. no vehicles coming, no dogs/people if your dog is reactive to them). I also make sure to pay attention to body language from a dog to inform the decisions I make while walking/playing. I am also capable of adapting my play habits to your dog's preference. My countless experience with these fury creatures has taught me that every dog has a preferred way to play. For example, my own dog hates fetch, but she loves playing tug-of-war! Whatever your dog loves to do, I am ready to play right alongside them! Lastly, I'm a big cuddler. I love petting dogs and giving their bellies lots of rubs! I realize though that not every dog loves to be touched though, or only likes to be touched in a particular way. I will respect you and your dog's boundaries while I care for them.
Information Jessie T. would like to know about your pet
I need to know how and where your dog prefers to relieve themselves, the activities they enjoy doing, any sensitive body areas to avoid while petting, their feeding routine, whether they have a good relationship with other dogs/people, and what are coping mechanisms or approaches to handling both kinds of these reactivities if your dog has them.
A typical day
I'm very flexible! I want to engage in the kind of play your dog enjoys most. My go to play is tug-of-war, tricks, fetch, and running around! I love taking walks out in nature! If possible, I'd love to take your furry friend out somewhere with lots of trees and grass, such as a nearby hiking trail. FYI: I do not walk dogs in the rain nor when it is dark. I have gotten myself sick in the past walking through adverse weather conditions and put my recording devices at risk in precipation. It is also not safe for me as a young female pet care taker to walk alone at night, especially while staying at an unfamiliar temporary location. Thank you for your understanding!
