I will schedule a call for our meet and greet, before driving to your home to meet your family and pets in person. ABOUT ME: I love and respect all animals. I have been a pet sitting for as long as I can remember. I will treat your furry friends like family and respect your home as if it were my own. I do my best to be sure that your critter has the best staycation possible while you are away by sticking to their routine and taking the time to pamper them with lots of their favorite things - play, pets, or just relaxing on the back porch watching squirrels. I will meet with you initially to get to know your dog and your home to be sure that we are compatible - this will allow you ample time to find another sitter if need be. I try to learn everything I can about your dog's personality, lifestyle, routine, and favorite activities during the meet and greet. I enjoy training as well and I will happily work on any commands or behavioral issues you may want me to address - I only use positive reinforcement techniques and do not hit, shout or otherwise reprimand dogs in any way as it can cause anxiety and behavior problems for them. I had all our family dogs dancing, singing, and giving secret handshakes before I was in grade school. I love seeing dogs learn and have always been a natural when it comes to teaching old dogs new tricks. I really enjoy making anyone's day, and especially appreciate how a short walk or belly scratch can bring so much joy to a dog's day; they remind me how important the little things are in our everyday life and how much gratitude can enhance our lives! FAQs What do you need from me when I book services with you? Scheduling is critical with my services so please let me know as soon as you know you will need my services or if your plans change, include the time you expect me to arrive and the time that you plan to return. I tend to worry, so please let me know when you arrive safely to your destination. I also like to be sure that your needs are fulfilled while ou're away, so please communicate with me if I am providign too many or too few updates etc... Do you offer any discounts or promotions? I do! If you would like to refer a friend, you receive a free day on me. Simply refer your friend, and I will credit your next booking after I complete the booking for your friend. I also offer extended stay discounts for bookings over two weeks. Ask me for more information! Can I have your cell phone number? I am not comfortable relying on the Rover phone relay system. Yes! I have obtained permission directly from Rover support due to the occasional failure of their communication technology. I also have a VOIP (wifi) phone number I will give you so that you can reach me if I am outside of cell range. How is it that you are able to stay with my pet all day? I work remotely from my computer. I am not comfortable leaving for more than a couple of hours, depending on the household. Besides the occasional client meeting, drop in, or supply re-up I do my best to remain present and give your pet all the attention they want or need to ensure the best staycation experience, while you are away. Are you a full-time pet sitter? Yes, I pet sit full time as much as the travel industry will support at this time. I have restricted my services due to covid, but will slowly lift those restrictions. How long have you been pet sitting? I have been a pet sitter for as long as I can remember. I started very young, helping my jet setter neighbors by feeding and entertaining their cats and dogs while they were out of town for ski trips. Friends and family were requesting my services periodically all my life. Finally, after college, I decided to continue more professionally. I love it so much! What is your cancellation policy? I have a strict cancellation policy. There is a 50% cancellation fee if you cancel within a week prior to the start date of your booking with me. Please let me know as soon as possible if any of your plans change. Can I book with you off of Rover? Homeowners with their own insurance, uncomfortable with technology, or other personal reasons cause my clients to ask this question frequently. I am only able to book with you outside of Rover if you leave the platform, otherwise I am violating their terms of service and I will be banned. Please discuss with me if you are concerned about booking on Rover. What do you need to know when we meet up initially? The main purpose of the meet and greet is to be sure that everyone is comfortable. I will take about an hour to get to know you, your pet, and the routine in your household. I do my best to maintain this routine to be sure that your pets, plant, and home receive the best care in your absence. My family is sensitive to chemicals etc, what type of cleaners do you use? I do my best to obtain this information in our meet and greet. If there are no allergies, etc... revealed, I generally use bleach, lysol, or a mild dish soap for surfaces. Floors are usually just swept, vacuumed, and spot mopped with one of the above. Is it difficult to constantly be moving from different households? I am used to living out of a suitcase because of my passion for travel and adventure. I do occasionally miss the company of humans, so I will call a friend or watch a movie to distract from the loneliness. I also bring all my own linens so I feel a bit more like I am in the same bed every night. Do you take precautions for covid? I follow local COVID guidelines. I am vaccinated. I sanitize all frequently touched hard surfaces after your departure and before your return. I also wash my hands frequently for general health. Rover is very Dog and Cat centered, do you care for other animals? Yes! I have experience with all sorts of exotic, domestic, aquatic, and farm animals.
