Former vet tech w/ friendly pup!

Pet care experience

As a lifelong animal lover, I've worked in a vet clinic, at a zoo, and as an avian ecologist. I own a home in central Fort Collins with a large fenced yard, just a block from the Spring Creek Trail, and often work from home. My friendly, snuggly lab mix Faye loves to play and romp with visiting dogs, and we often hike at natural areas in town. During my time as a vet tech, I worked with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I'm experienced with using positive reinforcement to help promote good behavior. I love being active outdoors and am excited to take your dogs for long walks and to give them lots of love and belly rubs! Looking forward to meeting your and your pup!

Information Jessie R. would like to know about your pet

Doing a meet and greet with my dog and yours gives me the best info to determine if having your dog stay with me will be a good fit. Faye does best with dogs who are either eager to play, or who ignore her invitations to play (she will quickly learn that dogs who ignore her aren’t interested, and will happily leave these dogs alone). Dogs who respond to play initiation by barking to let her know they don’t want to play usually aren’t a great fit - she interprets the barking as a sign to continue trying to play.

A typical day

With a fenced in yard, there's plenty to sniff and explore right here at home. For longer walks, we like to hit the Spring Creek Trail which is just a few blocks away, or visit one of the natural areas in town.
