I've loved dogs since I was a little kid--they're so joyous and loving unconditionally! I love seeing the drastically different personalities in dogs--from getting a shy, anxious dog to trust humans to getting an overly energetic dog to focus long enough to learn to sit, I enjoy interacting with dogs of all shapes and sizes. It’s always a fun learning experience getting to take care of a kind of pup I’ve never been around before! In addition to fostering my own American Bulldog mix, I’ve sat dogs that come in anywhere from 5 to 110 pounds, and dogs with special needs. There’s simply no pup that I won’t love! I am a college student, but half of my classes are online so I have a very free schedule! That means that I’m a good fit for pups that need a little bit more attention during the day, or even just are used to having a presence around them for the most part. While there are times that I’ll be gone for class, I’ll be able to make plenty of time to make your pup’s stay extraordinary. I've been in customer service for five years, so I've learned how to interact with all kinds of people. It’s taught me a lot about being at the top of my game with working with clients, so you can expect nothing but professionalism through and through. I’m always very prompt with my communication, and I always enjoy sending daily updates through text or picture messages to let you know exactly how your pup is doing and what we’ve done during the day. I’m always happy to schedule meet-and-greets before a stay. I prefer to meet the pet(s) for the first time with the owner(s) present, since most dogs seem to be more comfortable that way. I like to know the dog's attitude around other animals, their energy level and typical routine, as well as their favorite toy(s). I always try to schedule a pup’s stay around them and their needs, so a meet-and-greet is a great way for me to start thinking about ways to make their dreams come true!
