Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Jessica! I'm a pet sitter so I can put my love for animals, and concern for their well-being, to good use! In February 2017 I welcomed Ophelia, a lovely grey kitty, into my home. I've enjoyed learning about cats and observing Ophelia's antics when she thinks I'm not watching. Current living circumstances prevent me from adopting a dog, so I'd love to share my love by taking care of your precious pups. From 2016-17, I volunteered with the Richmond SPCA, where I took both their Dog Handling and Cat Handling classes. Nowadays, I read pet sitting blogs to ensure I am knowledgeable about safe and entertaining ways to care for your pet. While large retriever-type dogs hold a special place in my heart, I love dogs (and cats) of all sizes and personalities. And if you have multiple pets - great! Many of my clients are multi-pet households. I will also take excellent care of your home; I am happy to water plants, vacuum, etc. before you return. Jessica has been great. She took great care and managed to have my skittish cats to like her right away. She was always punctual and often stayed even longer than the agreed upon. When I first booked her through Rover I was nervous, but now I know that next time I leave home I can count on her help again.
Jessica has been dog sitting/walking our Samoyed, Lila, for quite awhile now. She most recently housesat for us this past week and we are always very happy with her attentiveness, timely response and making sure to send us updates with photos, etc. The house is always left exactly how we left it, and Lila seems to be very happy and well cared for.
I’ve had Jessica house/pet sit several times, and I’m never disappointed. She’s very responsive, responsible and very kind; I know she really cares about our dog, Lila. Highly recommend.

A typical day
I am happy to walk your dog along your neighborhood's tried-and-true path. If your dog does well in a car and around unknown dogs, I'm also happy to walk your dog around Richmond's parks for a change in scenery!
