Pet care experience
I have worked with animals my whole life but in a professional setting for the last 14 years. I just moved to the Monterey Area as of January 2019 and hope to make the most of the trails and beaches! I spent the last 4 years working at a local animal shelter and have plenty of experience with all animals from horses to hamsters. In my time at the shelter I have assisted in nearly all facets of shelter work including adoptions, fundraising, behavior assessments, management, and medical center operations. From my experience within the medical center I have even learned how to medicate animals including vaccinating or administering injectible medications. Rover is currently my sole job so I have plenty of time to devote to your furry family members. I have 3 dogs (a pit bull mix, a beagle mix, and a jack russell mix), and a horse of my own, I had a cat but he passed away last year. :( As you can see, I have plenty of experience to handle animals of all kinds. I'm a big fan of making sure I am meeting the needs of the individual animal whether that be running a couple miles, working on our obedience and manners, or a short potty walk and some snuggles for a senior pet.

Jessica was absolutely wonderful! This was the first time we had left our 6 month old pup, and Jessica took great care of her and made us feel very comfortable. She sent pictures and updates all the time so that we knew what they were up to and that our puppy Leia was happy. Jessica knows alot about dogs and even sent us home with some bone marrow to add to Leia's food. We are so happy to have found her and will be using her again for another trip this spring.
We felt very comfortable with Jessica looking after Duke. She is a real pro and we will definitely book again!
We had a wondering experience with Jessica. Her own dogs are awesome and our Duke was welcomed into the pack quickly. Everything was wonderful from communication, pick up, drop off, pictures and even a long walk! Definitely will be working with Jessica in the future!
Jessica is a responsible, professional, caring person who has been involved in caring for dogs at many different levels in the past 10 years. She is passionate about responsible dog-ownership and wants every dog and their owner to get the full benefit of the amazing relationship that can be had with your pet. She is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior as well as dog nutrition and health and this allows her to be sure your pet will be safe when in her care. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter and/or dog walker.

I love all breeds and hate that anyone would ever discriminates against a particular breed! I would love to know your expectations of my time spent with your pet. My goal is to make sure I am meeting your pet and your needs so please let me know what I can do to make it the best visit possible. It is important for me to know if your pet has any allergies, special needs, restrictions or sensitivities to handling.
A typical day
I love to hike and if your dog is friendly with other dogs I would love to take them on a hike with my 3 dogs! If your dog prefers to be the center of attention, that's ok too, we can take a hike just the 2 of us! I also love to run so if your dog needs to burn off some energy I am happy to take them running for up to 2 miles in one visit. I have a bike as well so I can always wear them out having them run next to my bike! I have worked with dogs on obedience training so if you are needing me to reinforce the rules on my visits I am happy to do so. I love a good snuggle so I am happy to hang out at your place, or mine, and just provide attention and affection. There is nothing better than curling up with a fluff nugget right next to you!
