Pet care experience
I've only had one dog in my family growing up but I have spent plenty of time watching for and caring for friends dogs. These past two years I helped my roommate take care of her dog when her work or school schedule got hectic and she couldn't be home to take the dog for a walk or play. One of my favorite things to do is go on long walks with my friend and her two dogs and give them lots of love and attention. I have dog sat and house sat a handful of times and I have always had great experiences with both the pets and the owners!

I would like to know the level of energy and how the dog tends to react to strangers and other dogs. This is just so that I know not to put the dog in a situation it is not fully comfortable in. I do not have a specific preferred breed but I do enjoy the medium to larger sized dogs when it comes to playing around.
A typical day
There are a handful of places I like to go on walks with the dogs. The most popular is the greenbelt, which is fun because it also allows the dog to swim and play in the water if they desire, and it's good exercise. I also enjoy going to zilker and walking the trail or just running around and playing in the grass. There are also some really great dog parks throughout Austin that are a lot of fun, especially for those dogs who love to make new friends and greet lots of people!
