Pet care experience
I began working under a professional animal trainer at 13. I have always known I would work with animals. I have worked as a Kennel Supervisor for Animal Control, a pet nutrition consultant, trainer, and worked extensively in rescue and fostering. Now that my daughter is older I am studying Animal Behavior at OSU and working part time at the Veterinary Hospital. I also have a small home-based rescue program. We currently house 6 special needs dogs. I am well versed in animal behavior and signs of injury, illness or distress so your dogs will be in knowledgeable hands with me. I am able to travel and have a reliable vehicle. I am very punctual and excellent at following charts and directions. I understand the importance of schedules and routines for your pets and will do my best to make your pets staycation as relaxing as your vacation.

Jessi has cared for my animals several times. It didn't matter if it was short notice or planned. It didn't matter if it was dogs, cats or horses. She was always willing to help and she would make it work despite how busy she was. Animals have always come first with her. Doesn't matter if they are hers, strays, helping someone else or even rescued salamanders crossing the road.
In all of my time working with compassionate, capable dog people, Jessie has proven time and time again that she would move mountains to take care of her pets, and even pets that are not her own. Jessie cares for all animals as if they were her own, she is incredibly knowledgeable in animal husbandry and behavior, and well versed in taking care of special needs critters. I have nothing but the utmost confidence in leaving my animals in her care. There is no one I would recommend more to take care of your furry family members and make your absence stressfree.
I'd honestly say that Jessica is the most open hearted and caring person I've ever known and when it comes to animals no matter what they are or who they belong to she has always shown care and concern weather it's medical issues or just needing a sitter.. She's always been there for me when help is needed and I know of several others who would say that very same thing

Any special needs, allergies, diet restrictions, medical history I should be aware of. Personality quirks are helpful but I will spend some time getting acquainted with any dog before I ask them to follow me anywhere so we can establish a level of trust.
A typical day
I find that dogs benefit from mental stimulation as much as physical exercise. We will always look for new things to see and smell. Walks are great but hikes are often more valuable in enrichment quality. If the owner approves and if appropriate for the dog I would like to go off-road whenever possible.
