Treating pets as family in a home

Pet care experience

I treat the pets like family bc that’s what mine is to me. If you multiple animals please reach out. I’m working from home and enjoying hanging with your pets throughout the day then they can sleep in bed at night. No jumpers because I share the yard with my neighbor whose lives in the back. Usually the four legged friends are by my side while I’m working then we go for walks during my breaks. I’m a trained dog handler whose fostered and watched over 200 puppies, kittens, and dogs since I moved to Sacramento in 2013. I took classes at the city shelter with nationwide leading trainers/behaviorists on dog handling, language, and socialization. I love animals and grew up with lots of pets. I have one 10+ yr old rescue dog who is a 12 lb Lhasa Apso mix, she gets along well with all types of dogs, has a friendly/independent personality, and was a mama when I first fostered her so that’s her role at times to show the ropes. I have a house with a fenced in large back yard and space inside to roam. I go on walks after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I believe in positive reinforcement and attention. I am available to provide love to your pet while you are away and they will still be excited to see you when you come back. Hours: I’m flexible but nothing between 9pm-6:30am if you’re late it’s an extra day. I work from home and might have a work meeting so we will work it out and I like to be texted with an eta so I can prepare for arrival with mine and dogs food, potty breaks, etc. **Boarding** Please note when booking an overnight stay, it includes up to 24hours of care, fun, and love with lots of pictures and updates of your pup. The 24hour rolling time begins at drop off time. When sending your request please include drop off and pick up times as this will determine if an additional daycare rate will be applied to the last day. (For example 8 am drop off Friday and picking up at 9pm Saturday would be one overnight and one daycare). There will be some leeway, but in order to keep my day open to caring for your pup, the daycare rate may apply.

Jessica watched our dog, Daisy, over the Thanksgiving holiday - Daisy came back to us happy, healthy and tired from so much playing! It gave us great peace of mind. Thanks, Jessica!

Jessica took really good care of my dog Moose. She sent me pictures of him almost everyday, let him sleep in bed, danced with him ?, took him for walks and played ball with him. I highly recommend her and next time I am out of town I know Moose has a trustworthy and safe place to stay.?

I have a fenced yard and dog that helps teach the other dogs the ropes. I believe in positive reinforcement with treats and try to enforce certain behavior sitting for treats and getting ready for walks.

Information Jessica R. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog jumps, crate trained, house trained, has special preferences or behaviors. Sleeping and eating habits? Barking/Anxiety triggers? Playful or independent with dogs? I want it to be a good fit for your pup.

A typical day

I work from home so I like to walk with the pups throughout the day on my morning and afternoon breaks. I have a large yard that I spend my mornings and evenings in watering the garden and playing with the pups: fetch, find-it, sniffing, zoomies, napping, etc. . The pups can nap on the sofa with me or play with toys while I work. A couple mornings a week I go to the river and I’ll be back in a couple hours. We feed as often as indicated on the care card and give treats as discussed. Usually I give leftover meat bits from lunch/dinner and treats from Trader Joe’s.
