Pet care experience
I practiced as a certified veterinary technician for 5 years before starting veterinary school here in Tucson. My roommate, Abby is also a vet student and previous technician and we typically care for your pups together. We are comfortable with medical needs and geriatric pets as well! In my free time, I travel the country and teach/certify other vets in animal CPR! I have 2 friendly, well behaved dogs and have experience with agility training and obedience. Our home is all tile, with a doggy door, block wall fence, and tons of toys, beds, and treats!

Jessica was absolutely amazing with our Labrador. She has a lot of experience with dogs and is in the process of becoming a veterinarian! We felt 100% comfortable leaving our lab for over a week and enjoyed our vacation to it's fullest knowing our Lab was in great hands. Jessica is friendly and very responsible. Communication was excellent and when we ended up having a delay on our way home she was accommodating and extremely understanding. We will continue to use Jessica whenever she is available. Jessica is highly accommodating and friendly in a quiety dignified way. She & her housemate are vet students, both almost finished w their DVMs, so they cover for each other when dog sitting duties may clash w school requirements, such as certain labs and such requiring attendance. Both Jessica and Andi are terrific caregivers. Their home is very neat, clean, and orderly...and this is apparent in the fresh smell when one walks in to leave or pickup one's animal. Our home is pet safe, well structured, and focused on healthy animals and a clean environment. We have plenty of kennels, play pens, toys, chews, and anything else that might be necessary to make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. We also use veterinary grade cleaning products between pets to ensure proper sanitation and healthy pups!

A typical day
A typical day in our home consists of morning walks/play before breakfast. When I have to leave for class (only 1-4 hours) we can give veterinary recommended chews, frozen kong toys, or something similar (depending on the pet) for entertainment while we are gone. In the afternoon, we have the ability to take more walks, visit the dog park (dog dependent) or do some obedience training at the park.

Since I am a student, I am in class between 2-6 hours a day, but make time to let the dogs out if necessary. All of our dogs (including our own) are crated when we are away for their own safety, so we typically only accept crate trained dogs. We also have cameras to check on everyone while we are in class if necessary. When home, we spend plenty of time going on walks or cuddling on the couch while doing homework.
