Pet care experience
I've been house and pet sitting for about 15 years and I love the time I get to spend with animals. I want you to be able to relax and enjoy your time away from home knowing that your house and pets are taken care of and loved. I am a single, 39 year old, elementary special education teacher in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am organized, clean, responsible, respectful of your space, and dependable. I also have experience as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization and can help with maintaining any training or addressing behavior concerns. I've raised 2 puppies for Canine Partners of the Rockies, Ivan and Quimby, both black labs! I raised them from 8 weeks old to 2 years old. While they were in training, they lived with me and came to work with me. I was able to work with amazing professional dog trainers and behaviorists as a puppy raiser and I attended weekly puppy classes. In my dog sitting experience, I have cared for dogs with aggressive behavior, high energy, medical needs, and senior dogs. I've also cared for cats, kittens, fish, turtles, chickens, bunnies, iguanas, tarantulas, and hamsters. I am happy to provide references if you'd like to get in touch with any previous clients!

Jessica was so great with my two boys. One being a puppy who requires a ton of patience. She was very communicative about how they were doing and when she was going to be gone for a bit. The house was cleaner than we left it, which is so nice after a weekend away. Will use Jessica again. ?
Jessica is awesome! At our first meeting, she was incredibly thorough in learning our expectations and how to best care for our dog, and we instantly felt confident that the stay would go well. During the sitting, she was very communicative so we always knew our dog was doing well and happy. Our pup is very emotionally sensitive and her demeanor upon our return is always indicative of the kind of care she received and how happy and comfortable she was during an absence. She was completely normal and happy from the instant we walked in the door, and didn’t seem at all bothered that we left her for 10 days—a true indication of Jessica’s amazing care. Jessica also took good care of our home and went above and beyond in several aspects to make our (very late night) arrival home easier and more comfortable. We loved the kind note and printed photos she left of our pup during her stay too—a very nice touch. We will definitely hire Jessica again next time we need to leave town without our dog. I could not speak more highly of Jessica! I could tell from the moment she met my dog it would go well. My home was very well taken care of, my dog was a happy girl, and I received plenty of pictures and came home to a hand written letter! Jessica clearly knows what she’s doing and she is so kind too - such a great experience, thank you!!
I can’t put into words how much we appreciated Jessica- she watched our dog and cat for the first time for a long weekend and this is the first time I’ve traveled where I’ve felt 100%, totally comfortable with leaving them. Jessica took really thorough notes at our meet and greet, sent great updates everyday, and left our home spotless and with great notes from her stay. We will definitely ask Jessica to sit our pets again in the future (and I know they’ll be so excited to see her!)

I never visit dog parks or allow strange dogs to meet your dog while walking. All food and belongings are always behind closed doors and out of the reach of pets! I don’t cook complicated meals, light candles, or use appliances I’m not familiar with. I will take great care of your pets and home!

I have lots of time over holidays and weekends, but I work during the day throughout the school year, and wouldn't be able to be at your house or with your animals during work hours.
