A Pets Mary Poppins

Pet care experience

Hello! Thank you for clicking onto my profile! A little background on me: I have lived in Minnesota for almost 9 years now. Before MN I use to live in North Carolina; this is where i first began pet sitting. Like most middle school students at that time I started watching a few neighbor dogs, from there I began watching a few more down the street, then in the next neighborhood over. Soon I started to have clients on almost every weekend! After moving to MN I started growing my client base again. Now I watch animals of all species, from: dog, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, horses, farm animals. You name it I have probably watched it at some point. Besides pet sitting I also have experience with dog handling. I worked for a doggy daycare for 2.5 years learning all about different breeds, body language and pack behavior. I myself currently own: 4 cats, 1 dog, 1 turtle, 2 horses. As well as looking after my partners 3 chameleons and her fish. My Services: Dog Walking- The way I prefer to walk a dog is using 2 leashes, while this may see, strange to some people I do it for safety. The first leash is the normal leash the dog uses, the second acts a safety net if for someone reason the first leash breaks. I am very familiar with different styles of harnesses, gentle leaders, and prong collars. The price I have set for my walk is for a 20-30 minute walk. If you would like a 15 I am more than happy! House Sitting- Having your pet stay at home while you are away can be one of the best options! When I have been on vacation in the past I always keep my pets at home. Changing their environment at the last minute to an unknown location can cause so much stress. One of the bonuses, as I like to say, of house sitting is that I keep a pet journal! When you get home this allows you to read over what happened every day with your furry child. If you would like picture updates, not a problem! Would you want the house cleaned before I left, not a problem! I am very happy to accommodate what ever needs you have! I also offer a multi pet discount. My rate is for the first animal per night, every additional animal is $10 per night. Drop In Visits- Stuck at work for a long day? No Worries! Drop in visits are great for that! Even if you just need your furry child to use the bathroom, have a medication, or just have someone to play with for about 20 minutes. What ever you need for your pet I will fulfill.

Information Jessica P. would like to know about your pet

I do ask that I meet the dog/cat in person before pet sitting. Think of it when you go for a job interview. You normally meet your new supervisor before hand, getting a little sense of who they are as a person.

A typical day

As someone who is active outside there is nothing I love more than bringing my animals with me! With my own dog we visit parks 6 days a week sometimes even twice a day. We also love going for walks! My own neighborhood is a 2 mile circuit. If your pooch has a favorite park/trail they love; I am more than happy to take them as many times as you would like. Playing in yards is also one of my favorite activities to do.
