I have my Bachelor's of Animal Science from Iowa State University. I have recently moved to Manhattan to advance my career. Currently, I am working with the KSVDL and am loving this new experience. When I left Iowa, I left about 30 families that would come to me to take care of their animals and house. I am looking to restart my side business here in Manhattan and would love to discuss your needs! Working at a several Veterinary Hospitals has allowed me to encounter numerous dogs/cats/ livestock and give me the ability to read them a little better. I also have some extra knowledge from working within clinical practice and can administrator several types of medications. Additionally, I love getting to know each one of my clients/pets individually and learn about their personalities. Each client has different requirements for their pet & what they are looking for in a sitter. I strive to ensure that my clients are feeling excited about their choice of booking their pet's care through me. Your furkids will love spending some time with me! I look forward to meeting your furkids! My work schedule is extremely predictable and I am able to have some flexibility if needed. I love sitting outside & being able to watch doggos feel comfortable in their space. I prefer staying at a clients house, so that the animals can get more accustomed to me being in their safe place. My fur babies are amazing, but they are challenging. And Jess does an incredible job taking care of them when I am away. Molly has been completely blind for over 10 years. Sophie has been blind in one eye since she was born making her very skittish and anxious. She also has a heart murmur and digestive issues as a result. Chase is your typical cat, but he needs meds from time to time while the two cocker spaniels have multiple meds they get every day. Jess handles meds for all three, eases my anxiety, and never fails to send pics and check in before I even ask. With Jess' background and extensive experience, I know that if Chase or the girls happen to get sick or injured while I am away, they are in great hands, and Jess will know whether or not they need to go to the vet and make it happen. Jess is the best!
We were very lucky to have found Jess to take care of our 2 dogs with special needs. Jess had previously took care of our friend's dog and they gave a glowing recommendation. We were not disappointed. Jess was reliable and always willing to watch our pets. She truly cares about the wellbeing of the pets and would give a thorough summary of her time with them. We were very sad when she left the area but she makes a point of checking in throughout the year to see how our dogs are doing. I would highly recommend giving Jess a try!
Jessica has watched Nugget for us numerous times while we are out of town. Each time she checked in on him in a timely manner and sent me consistent updates / photos. Not only that, but she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. Many times she has gone the extra mile to stay a few extra minutes to give nugget love, pets, and play with him and his favorite toys. She doesn't just stop by to fill the food and let him potty, she really cares that he, and his owners are comfortable. I absolutely 100% recommend Jessica, especially for any pet owners who feel nervous when leaving their pet.
Jessica is extremely reliable and I knew I could trust her with my pups from the beginning. Jessica has saved me in a pickle in more than one occasion. I would 100% recommend Jessica to everyone looking for additional assistance.
