Hi I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 9-year-old siberian husky Luna. My husband and I got her as a puppy and have raised her to be a sweet, energetic dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. We started out in Brooklyn, NY where we used to take long walks around Prospect Park. Then, we moved to Venice, CA and loved exploring the west side together - especially meeting all kinds of new pups and people on our walks around Venice Beach! Over the years, I have walked and stayed overnight with friends' and neighbors' dogs on several occasions including a beagle and a golden retriever. I also grew up with 2 small dogs, a cockapoo and a shih tzu, who I loved to walk around my suburban neighborhood in Sandston. Yes I am originally from the Richmond area! Now we are located in Church Hill and walk regularly through Chimborazo, Libby Hill and Jefferson Parks. Since I started sitting through Rover I have stayed with senior pups, puppies, and all different sizes of dogs from toy to large. I care for them all like they are my very own Luna girl.

Jess was so great with our brand new puppy Kemba! She made sure we felt comfortable by meeting us before we went out of town. Jess sent frequent photo updates and kept us at ease during our entire trip. Would definitely recommend!

I have stayed with dogs who have easy access to a fenced outdoor space and more often with those who do not, so I am comfortable with ensuring leashes and/or gates are always secure. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands.

Let me know all of your dog’s unique needs! I’m happy to go over this in person as well but I’d love to know their feeding schedule, how often they are walked/go outside, if they are friendly with other dogs, if they have any conditions I should be aware of or medication I will need to administer, and anything else that will be important to know!
A typical day
I love to explore the neighborhoods of the dogs I stay with on walks, as long as it’s safe to do so of course. Walks are important for not only exercise, but mental stimulation so as long as the weather permits, this is my preferred activity. If the weather does not permit or your dog is more comfortable running around in your backyard, I am happy to adjust around your dog’s specific needs. If your dog is friendly with other dogs, I also love to introduce my dog Luna for some play time whenever possible!
