I recently graduated from my graduate program and am on the job search, which means it is hard to predict when my schedule may change. In the meantime, I am able to fulfill pet needs with a relatively open schedule. In the event an interview or job becomes relevant, I will surely communicate this ASAP. I will not make myself available if the time allotted is not appropriate to truly care for your pet. I deeply care about animals and would love to do what I can, especially since I cannot have my family pup & chinchilla with me at school.

Please let me know if your pet has any medication (oral, topical, or injection), and please let me know if they are reactive in any way (whether towards other dogs, men, all people, vehicles, etc.) so I am prepared in what ever space we are in. Of course, it is also helpful to know their routine if applicable, their favorite toy or treat (whether they are food or enrichment motivated), any items I should be mindful of leaving out that may be chewed/swallowed (like socks), etc.
A typical day
I would like to learn what your pet loves and go from there! All pets have different play preferences/needs and I am wanting to satisfy this as much as possible. I am able to play with their toys with them, take them places if they like rides/walks, build/encourage enrichment opportunities, brush, pet, etc.

Pet care experience
I graduated with a BS in animal science with a companion animal emphasis, obtaining knowledge/experiences through classes, labs, internships, and employment. I worked as a veterinary assistant and kennel tech throughout undergrad seasonally and for several months post-grad at 2 different clinics. I also worked as a wildlife rescue & rehab intern and aquarist intern during undergrad, focusing on animal care and husbandry. Lastly, I have owned/helped care for family pets almost my whole life (including rodents, rabbits, and a dog) and have pet sat dogs and cats for family friends/neighbors on the side.

Whiskey was very happy with Jessica’s company, and we were able to relax during our time out, knowing she was well cared for. We got a cute picture, too.
Jessica was great with our furry kids. Our 2 Cavaliers and our cat were well taken care of and we would definitely use her again.
Jessica was great! She stayed in our apartment with our dog and cat while we were away! She gave us daily updates on our pets! They were very well taken care of and we came home to a clean apartment exactly how we left it :)
