Pet care experience
Hi there! I live in Burnaby between Gilmore and Brentwood station with my fiancé, Nick and Shiba-Jindo mixed dog, Keanu. I grew up in Richmond hanging out with my neighbours dog and my friends dogs all the time. I’m a former chef and I’m currently in school to be a MOA (big career change!) In my free time, I like to be out in nature, playing board games, drawing, and practicing yoga at Heights. I have 7 years of dog-sitting and dog walking experience with clients on Rover and in my neighbourhood. I have experience with teenage/adult dogs as well as senior dogs and have administered oral medication and eye drops when needed. Before booking any service, I highly suggest setting up meet and greets with owners beforehand so your dog can get a feel if I’m the right fit and of course, get to know you and your needs better too!
Reviews
Jess was so nice! She came to meet our dog before the overnight stay. She gave us constant updates with pictures and videos and she cuddled with Peanut at bed time. 10/10!
Jess is awesome! She definitely is dog person, she was super kind with my two little ones. She is super nice with dogs that might have a bit of anxiety. Super nice meeting her!
Jessica sat my dog for an evening while I was out and took great care of Barb. She not only took her for a walk but also on a short drive to calm for anxiety while I was away. She sent great photos during the evening so I knew how things were going. Thanks Jess!
Jess took amazing care of my fur baby while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of when things had changed last minute before my trip. She was always making sure to keep me updated even though I had no cell service, so it was nice to know how well things were going! So glad both our dogs got along as well and can hopefully be able to walk and play together soon! Would definitely recommend Jessica and will be using her services again in the future!

I like to go on long walks in the morning to mid afternoon followed by the dog park or farmers market if they’re non-reactive and recall trained. At home, we have plenty of toys to play with. Right now, I can only do house sitting as I have a dog at home and our space is small. Our building doesn’t allow more than 1 dog in our unit so I want to avoid house-boarding at this time.
Information Jessica K. would like to know about your pet
No preference with breeds and age. It's very important to know if there's issues being around other dogs and people they aren't familiar with. Separation anxiety when left alone or with previous dog sitters. Basic obedience training.
A typical day
We live in the OMA building between Gilmore and Brentwood station. There are many easy to walk trails and small parks in our neighborhood as well as an open field near our building where lots of dog owners socialize and dogs meet. If it's a sunny day, we like to drive to the closest dog park (usually Confederation or Renfrew park)

Availability
Currently, I’m a full time student with online courses. My fiancé works full time as a mobile locksmith and creates his own schedule so he’s in and out of the house a lot throughout the day. I have lots of time for 30 minute and 60 minute walks in the mornings to afternoons. We take Keanu out for an hour long morning walk between 8-9am, an hour long afternoon walk between 3-4pm, and a short evening walk before bed between 10-11pm.
