I’m Jessica and I love dogs! There’s something so special about their loyalty and innocence, the way they don’t care about how you look or any of those superficial things we do, and how they love you unconditionally. I also love the companionship they can provide and how they make such a difference in the lives of their owners. I’m a pet sitter because I can’t imagine animals not being a part of my everyday life and because I truly get so much joy from spending time helping them. Being around animals never feels like “work”, it feels like pure love! As a former Veterinary Hospital Manager and Vet Technician, I can provide a little extra sense of security for pet owners. As the manager of a large hospital and boarding facility, I have practical and professional knowledge of how to care for dogs. I’m well-educated in the care of puppies to seniors, anxious to energetic pups, and everything in between! You can feel confident that you’re getting above average care, with a pet professional (and dog lover) there for your furry friends! I’m also a fan of all other animals, including exotics! With three cats of my own, I have a soft spot in my heart for our feline friends as well as reptiles, rodents (yes, even rats) and birds! I would be happy to provide care to any of these animals on Rover. In addition to my professional experience with dogs, I have lots of personal and real world knowledge of what it takes to be a good pet parent. Currently, I have a three year old rescue dog named Sammy, who has been such a wonderful part of my life. I also have experience in K9 rescue and in the fostering of rescue dogs. Helping animals in need is a huge part of my life and I look forward to being able to assist pet owners with their furry family members! I’m currently taking a break from work at the hospital, but still want to be surrounded by dogs, so Rover has been such a great experience! Because of my break from work, I’m available full time to help care for your dog and can provide very flexible hours, pick up times, and stay lengths! I’m open to anything! I also understand how hard it is to be away from your loved one so I’ll provide consistent and open communication, sending photo and text updates so you know how much fun your pup is having in my care! Being an excellent sitter means always listening, caring, and being willing to solve problems and go the extra mile. I’ll always create solutions and be a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter in your absence! My family, three sweet cats, and Sammy live in a wonderful apartment. We have a dog-friendly household so that means your dog will always find a comfy spot to relax, play, and sleep! Sammy and your pup can snuggle up with us in bed, on the couch, or anywhere in between! Our neighborhood is fun and safe and there are many beautiful and large parks nearby that Sammy loves and I know your dog would too! We can’t wait to meet you!
