Your pup will be under the care of a dog sitting super team consisting of my husband Galen and I! We really love dogs but we aren't quite ready to get our own furry friend just yet, so getting to become dog sitters is a great alternative for us in the meantime. We worked with Rover a year or so ago and loved it but had to take a hiatus. We are so excited to be available to pet sit again! The flexibility that we both have with our work and the fact that our house has a private backyard makes us a perfect fit for dog sitting, and we are always more than happy to bring new pups into our house! Galen and I will be the only ones taking care of these furry friends. There is another house on our property where a couple and their 2 year old live. We have a completely detached home with separate entrance. We will be able to create a lot of distance from the other family if needed for the comfort of your pet. Jessica isn't working right now and Galen works from home, so that means that your pup will get undivided attention from one of us all the time. That also means we’re a good fit for pups who are used to having a human presence around them during the day! We love to spend time with dogs, and we’ll certainly make sure that they have all the love and affection they need to thrive while missing you :) During a stay, our number one priority is to make sure that you and your pup are completely comfortable and feel well taken care of. Dogs will love our plentiful attention and fun energy! They will also enjoy the ease of spending time with us outdoors. This may be on in our private backyard or on a walk in the neighborhood. We know that a healthy pup is a happy pup, so we’ll certainly spend a lot of time exercising and burning some energy together. Clients will love our great communication and attention to detail. We will provide excellent customer service by making sure to be communicative about the fun times we are having (via pics and text updates) as well as any questions we have or any issues that might arise. We do like to schedule meet-and-greets when taking on new clients, because it offers us a wonderful opportunity to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another though it isn't required if we chat ahead of time and feel comfortable moving forward. Meet and Greets also give us the chance to discuss face to face some of the important questions related to the stay. We would love to know about your dog’s personality, preferences and quirks as well as specific needs. Does your dog need lots of petting and attention or do they prefer to chill? Maybe they only like to be pet in a particular way or love to sit in your lap. Tell us whatever you think is helpful for your dog to feel loved and taken care of while you are away and we are more than happy to oblige and go the extra mile. We live in a 2 bedroom cottage in Berkeley that has a private and enclosed yard. We live in the very walkable Westbrae neighborhood which is quiet with a friendly atmosphere. We love how friendly and relaxed the neighbors are and how easy it is to get to things via walking.
