Pet care experience
Hi everyone, my name is Jessica. I'm excited to have joined the wagon of Rover and to meet the fur parents and family fur babies! I'm a former veterinary tech assistant; however, I first started working with animals via dog kennel, to grooming assistant, then to veterinary assistant. I'm willing to learn something new! I've cat sat for my coworkers, and I'm a dog person. I have 2 cats of my own ( Peewee, and Lily) and I wouldn't trade them for the world - my eldest has crossed the rainbow bridge 2/9/22. Animals are a woman's,man's, boy and girls best friend, and they should be treated like family -- because they are. Goal: Joyful Endeavors of Sights and Smells (Snouts Honor). Jess was absolutely amazing! We used her on two separate occasions to come visit, okay and care for our 3 chocolate labs ages 3 months to 11 years. They loved her immediately and she would come daily while we were away and run them until they were all out of breath. She also sent daily updates including pictures and videos! She tailored her care for each dog as our older lab is blind and a little slower than the younger guys but each one got the special attention they needed. We are so glad to have found her and will continue to use her in the future!
While I can't speak to Jessica's way with dogs, she did take care of my cats (three indoor and a dozen outdoor) for over 2 weeks and did a great job. Before going away, Jessica met with me and my fur babies and took copious notes as to their likes, dislikes and normal daily routine. She kept me informed with near daily texts, photos and phone calls and even went over and above the call of duty to help rid a flea infestation that developed just before I left for vacation. She is a wonderful, caring person and I will definitely be using her to care for my feline "children" again! Hopefully, she won't be too busy looking after your dogs!
Jessica worked with me as a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Orange County Veterinary Hospital. She is intelligent and competent and provided the best care to our hospitalized patients. Jess always made time during crazy surgery days to walk all of the surgical patients. She has a kind word and a pat for everyone! Jess has also house/pet sat for me and my large pet family (6 cats and a pit bull!). She took excellent care of everyone and I would trust her with any pet to provide walks, feeding and love.

I have pillows layed out through out the house. I live with my parents, thus I don't have the full ability to adjust the house to their needs like to my liking, but I'm still grateful for a roof over our heads. My ladies have a canopy outside my bedroom door, I leave my door open at night for Peewee since she sneaks in when I'm sleeping, with pillows practically everywhere for them to take their cat naps in (and not leave hair on furniture(s)). ❤️

What motivates them to keep active & happy, and what doesn't. They all hold different characters,and personalities like us humans! I understand times comes with patience and 1-on-1 time.
A typical day
I know trails around the area, but my go to is Shannen Park & Wildlife Refuge Loop Trail (Not only is it therapy for both parties, but the fur babes will really enjoy the smells, sights, & birds they'll see ?)

Availability
I wake up early in the am to feed &water, scoop litter, and make sure their areas are cleaned - we've had a few strays around my house. It's been a difficult winter (I leave food & water out for them although I have spotted a skunk enjoying themselves one night -- it's since been limited access).
