Dogs have always been in my life. I have a sweet 2 year old pup, Sylvie who was preceded by her older brother Sully. Sully was a beagle mix and lived to be 15 years and 4 months--we had so much fun together! As Sully got older I became more knowledgeable and comfortable in caring for an aging dog. With all dogs, patience, understanding and love is the name of the game! I am a strong proponent of using positive reinforcement to teach dogs. I look forward to getting to know your dog and getting to know their own unique quirks and lovely ways. When can I meet your pup? When I am with your dog, I am present with your dog. I am not multi-tasking, I'm not on my phone or doing whatever else I'm engaging, praising and interacting with your dog. My goal, overall, is to build a relationship with you and with your dog. I want your dog to be not only comfortable with me but happy to see me. Currently providing dog walking, dog drop-ins and dog sitting in nearby hotels. Experience with: separation anxiety, anxiety, transitioning from rural to urban settings, potty training, proper leash walking, teaching (name recognition, sit, stay, come and more), positive reinforcement, all ages, senior dog care, special needs dog care, canine cognitive decline, blind and deaf dogs. I have experience caring for exotic birds and would be happy to discuss providing bird sitting services in your home, namely beginning the day, feeding, water changing, socializing and ending the day. My schedule is pretty open. Please do reach out to me, even if it feels like a last minute booking, I'll always do my best to accommodate your schedule if I can and usually I'm able.
