I've had a family dog since I was 18 years old and, as one does, cared for him in the usual ways, walking, bathing, playing, and feeding. I have also volunteered at a shelter for abandoned and in need dogs in Florianopolis, Brasil, called “Voluntários Doce Lar”, where I attended adoption events where the volunteers had to overwatch the pups. Friends have relied on me on occasion to care for their cats when they were away. So I’m good with both kinds of fur babies. I'm usually the one that gets down on the ground to play and interact with my friends' pets, always trying to get their minds and bodies going. So pets usually gravitate towards me and really enjoy my company. I believe my calmness infects them in positive ways.
