Aloha! 🌺 First off let me thank you for considering me as an option to care for your furry or not so furry friend! 🐾 I am from Illinois originally and have been living on the Big Island 3+ years. I like to spend my spare time in the water or on the trails. I love all animals and do exceptionally well with dogs & cats. I believe strongly in regular exercise, stimulative play, and a healthy diet for all animals. I am fast learning and willing to adapt to your pet's needs. I have many years of experience caring for dogs & cats in a personal capacity. I was a cat owner for 10 years until his passing a few years ago from cancer. I have lived with several different dogs of all shapes, sizes, & temperaments throughout my life, being a family pet, a partner's, or a roommate's. I have always wanted a dog of my own, however, have not yet been in the proper personal situation to do so. In addition to dogs & cats, I have experience caring for horses & rabbits. Awesome caregiver. My husband and I are private practice medical providers, and requested Jessica to take care of our pup. She is absolutely a gem! She came over pre visit, and helped us secure transportation to the airport! Our dog has a serious leg injury and she did a wonderful job bandaging him; he is old and needy and she gave him talc. We received plenty of communications throughout the visit, and our house looked cleaner when we got home than when we left ( sheets all folded and she even offered to launder them). i wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her!

Although I do not provide sitting in my home, I'll follow your pets schedule & needs as close as possible in yours! I always have an extra leash & water bowl in my car ready for anything!

A typical day
COVID-19 - I will be wearing a mask & following social distancing rules while in any public setting with your animal, or during the entire sitting if requested. For able-bodied & well leash trained dogs I frequent the Makuala O'oma Trail up Kaloko. For older dogs & dogs with disabilities, I frequent the paved path off of Lako St. as well as many local beach walks where dogs are allowed. If you allow I will also take your dog to the dog park of course! (I will be wearing a mask & following social distancing rules while in any public setting with your animal, or during the entire sitting if requested.) In addition, regular play, and if you have any training requests I am happy to assist in any training where I am capable. Treats! With your permission I will have healthy treats available for pets. I carry a spare water bowl, leash, and toy in my car as well.
