I grew up in a house full of pets. In high school I joined FFA and learned how to provide basic care for farm animals. During that time I volunteered at an animal shelter. Which is where my love for dogs specifically for rescues was cemented. The shelter provided in depth training to all volunteers. Which I apply to my own dogs. I currently have two rescue dogs. One of which we know was neglected. In the beginning we tried to train him as if a puppy. We quickly learned every dog is different, and this is especially true for rescues.I know the importance of working with a dog's quirks instead of against.
