I am 31 years old and I have been working in the accounting department in the legal industry for the last 6 years. I also volunteered for two years with the SPCA in New York while attending school. I have had years of experience caring for cats and dogs. I grew up with a beagle and a tabby cat as a kid. For high school I attended a Quaker/college preparatory boarding school where I would care for my professor's kids and pets ( or sometimes both at once) on a regular basis in their home. After graduating, I continued to provide care for my professors during the summers in the following years. I would travel back to the school each summer and house sit for anyone that needed it while they went away on vacation for a couple weeks. These stays typically always included daily & overnight pet care, getting mail, watering plants, and general light cleaning in their home. Since then, I have moved to the DMV area. I first moved to Columbia, Maryland where I had a great experience living with a lab/pit mix pup and taking care of such a high energy dog on a day to day basis. Things that I am also able to do for your pet include things like administering oral medications. I am experienced with large dogs, high energy/ reactive dogs, and senior dogs. Under my care, I will make sure your pet is well fed, well exercised, and happy while you are away. I only take one dog/one family at a time. I have been on Rover in the DMV area since 2019/2020 and I feel I would be a great fit to take care of your pets. I am reliable and responsible and will always keep you informed on how your pet is doing. I have cared for many pets before, have always had great experiences, and looking to extend my pet services to the DMV area. ***I am now working in the office in NW DC, but I am still open to House Sitting requests in the area if you are okay with your pet being along for 8-9 hours during the day. I would be open to doing a quick check in around lunchtime if close enough. I will, as usual, stay overnight and on weekends with your pet as it applies to your requests.

Jessica went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and well cared for! She was reliable, easy to communicate with, and left the apartment nice and clean as well.
Jessica was great watching our two dogs, she was very communicative and easy to work with. She is reliable and dependable, even our little one that usually has a hard time adapting to new people, got comfortable with her almost immediately. She sent out great pictures of our dog and they love staying with her. She also took great care of our house and we will definitely be booking here again once we are out of town.
Jess was extremely flexible in taking care of my pup when I had a family emergency. I really appreciate how well she took care of my pup and my home. Highly recommend!

A typical day
30min- 1hr walks at least 3 times a day ( or as needed) in your neighborhood. I will run around and play with your dogs in a fenced in park or playground. Your dog will be able to socialize with other dogs at the park or play with my dog 1-on-1 with your consent. If they are not great with other dogs, I will make sure that they have their own private time to play fetch and run around outside, or do whatever they enjoy most.

Availability
Since I live in an apartment with a dog, I would be doing drop in visits or house sitting which would both be in your home to ensure your pet feels comfortable and gets my undivided attention.
