I live with my husband Scot and our two fur babies: a miniature Daschund named Ophelia and a black and white cat named Sidd. The cat gets along great with Ophelia. Scot has helped me to take care of Ophelia since we adopted her. Scot loves dogs and he's very responsible, so there will be a second dog owner around during your fur baby's stay. I grew up around dogs and have always loved and cared for them. My parents got our first family dog, Felicity, when I was nine. I joined 4-H with Felicity and took her to competitions, winning several blue ribbons. In her puppy stage, I taught Felicity how to roll-over, fetch, sit, lay down, heel, play dead and shake. Also, my sister later started raising guide dogs for the blind, while I was living at home. For the guide dogs, we adhered to very specific guidelines. After Felicity died of a tumor, my parents adopted a Border Collie and later a Miniature Dachshund, which I helped to raise. When I moved out of my parents house, I rescued my dog, Amore from an abusive and neglected home. Amore passed away last year at the age of 15. Amore was an amazing emotional support animal and a great companion, I will always love and miss her. But, my 1 year old Daschund, Ophelia comes close to filling that void. I work hard and enjoy exercise, I love being around dogs, I love playing with them and cuddling. My favorite activities are reading a good book, going on long jogs, walking Ophelia, coloring in adult coloring books, cooking/baking, and watching TV. I love having dogs around to share these with me — well, some of them!
