Your pup will love hanging with me!

Pet care experience

I have extensive experience working with dogs of all shapes and sizes in professional kennels, and have fostered dogs, including a Great Dane mix and other large dogs. Dogs are my passion and it shows. I volunteer with the Maxfund Shelter (a no-kill shelter, hooray!) in Denver and often care for dogs who live in my neighborhood. I've worked as a professional dog sitter and trainer for over ten years. Your pupper will get frequent walks throughout the day (I'll even take him/her on my morning jogs or on trips to the local dog park if you so desire!), and plenty of loving- bonus points if he/she likes to snuggle. I'll care for your pup and house just like it was my own! -Jess. I offer a 10% discount for referrals-- 10% off your next stay, and 10% off for the friend or family member you refer to me...I love my regulars! Why I love dog sitting I grew up with two rambunctious Weimaraners and fell head-over-heels for dogs from the very start. I went on to own my own Great Dane-Pointer mix, a whiz kid named Jack, who sadly passed away before his time. Having worked in kennels for many years, dogs were my life- my friends call me the Dog Whisperer- but I wasn't ready to get another one of my own. A friend suggested I start dogsitting just to have dogs around again, and I fell in love with it, and it eventually grew into a business. I'm so fortunate to be able to spend so much time with these wonderful creatures! I work remotely as a programmer, which gives me plenty of time to hang with the puppies during the day, and take breaks by going for walks or playing with the doggies! My experience administering medication Having had professional experience at several kennels, I am perfectly comfortable with administering medication, CPR in case of an emergency, and all minor grooming.

I’ve reviewed before, but I figure ~7 years of watching my beasties warrants a new one! Jessica is consistently reliable and communicative and all around amazing. I’m so grateful for her!

Information Jessica B. would like to know about your pet

Just let me know whether your pup gets along with other dogs, as well as whether he/she gets along with cats, since sometimes we will encounter the occasional cat on our neighborhood walk. I also need to know about any medical problems, allergies, or behavioral problems, and whether your dog will want to go with me on my morning run and to the dog park. I do live in a quiet neighborhood so if your pup barks for long periods of time when left alone for a few hours, we probably won't be a good fit for each other-- please let me know if this will be an issue before we book a stay.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks The pups who stay with me get taken on a 1-5 mile run every morning (depending on ability and desire), an afternoon trip to the local dog park, and 2-3 additional walks throughout the day in my beautiful neighborhood in the Highlands-- plenty of activity to keep a dog happy! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will generally sleep on his/her bed brought from home, although dogs are welcome on my bed and couch if they're allowed on furniture at home. Time I'll spend with your dog Since I am a freelance writer and comic artist, I am home for the entire day most days so your dog will have plenty of companionship throughout the day. We'll walk around your neighborhood and take advantage of any local parks or dogs parks near your home- I love finding new places to explore with pups! If you need anything done while you're gone, like checking your mail or watering plants, let me know and I'll take care of it while you're gone. My greatest wish is for you to return home from your trip and feel like you never left. :-)
