I believe that my volunteer experience of working at Petco for the B.A.R.C. program would qualify me for that position. The B.A.R.C. program is an agency that brings rescue dogs to Petco for adoption. My duties with them included: walking the dogs on a leash, feeding, giving water, playing, loving, cleaning up after them, and assisting in helping people adopt the right dog for them. For ten years, I have continuously dog sat and house sat. Over the years, I have developed a good set of dog handling skills. I have worked with large and small dogs of many different breeds. I have worked with old, young, as well as handicapped dogs. One of the handicapped dogs was a lab born with only a partial tongue. I had to make sure she only ate wet food and crushed up her treats into small bite sized pieces. With this vast amount of experience, I feel I would make a great dog sitter for you and your family member.
