I have been dog/house sitting since I was in high school (around 2010). It started out as a way to make money to pay for college but has become a passion. I have experience and am comfortable with giving medications including shots, pills, and topical creams. I have had dogs my whole life and have always been the one to take charge with training. I helped my best friend's 10 year old beagle learn to take treats gently while I was dog sitting him for a weekend. I have a 1.5 year old blue heeler that I have raised from 10 weeks old and trained to be a well-rounded dog. I am happy to start/continue training while you are away! I am fairly flexible when it comes to rates. If you have a situation that prevents you from paying the full rate for any service, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss within reason. We also have 2 easy-going cats, Frank & Beans. We have space for them to be separated from dogs if needed. They love Sky, even with all of her energy. They prefer to watch a new dog that's in their space from a perch up high, and they never swat at a dog. We also have a spare medium sized crate for peace of mind and ease of transition, if requested.

Really great sitter, they were super nice and helped me out with a last minute change. My dog had a great time and I got lots of adorable pictures and updates during his stay with them. I definitely plan to use them again if I need a sitter for him.

Jessica and Andy and their dog Sky are wonderful! They have watched our dog Sammie now several times and we are booking with them in the future for an extended trip. We always receive pictures of our dog during her stay with them and she comes back to us happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I own a house with a nice fenced yard. We both adore all animals and spend quality time with any that are in our care. We live in a quiet neighborhood that is great for going on walks - long or short routes. We live fairly close to a number of parks and dog parks and are happy to go on outings as time and weather permit. Our blue heeler, Sky, is young and playful and has never met a dog that she doesn't get along with! She knows when she can play and when she needs to back off. She has spent lots of time around my mother-in-law's miniature poodle who is around 15 years old and has seizures, as well as my friend's 10 year old beagle.

Does the dog get along with cats? We can separate our cats if we need to. How much energy does the dog have and what kind of exercise does it require? Any dietary needs or medications? Any special daily routines to make the dog feel more comfortable?
A typical day
I love to be outdoors. I can usually be found at Carvin's Cove on weekends, as it is close to my house and has trails that are great for all levels. I'm a 10 minute drive to Thrasher Dog Park, but if I am by myself I will usually drive a little longer to get to the dog park in Salem. Our neighborhood is great for going on walks. There are plenty of quiet roads to choose long or short routes. We have lots of toys to play with, inside and out.

Availability
My husband Andrew works from home full time, so he is around to see to your animals needs throughout the day. I am able to work from home some days, but I live close enough to work that I can come home on my hour lunch to play!
