I've studied dog behavior at Humane Society Silicon Valley, where I took courses specializing in evaluating dogs and working with behavior issues that prevent dogs being successfully adooted. My passion is for taking care of nervous and reactive dogs of all breeds. If your dog is afraid of strangers, if you're not sure whether anyone else will "get" them: I understand. I believe in building trust and relationships, in listening to your dog and in a creative approach to having fun. I've assisted in training classes--all positive reinforcement of course--and my day job is editing the IAABC animal behavior journal; I'm also the proud parent of a chihuahua who has taught me a lot about patience! I'm available for drop-in visits around Haight-Ashbury and Castro, weekdays before about 6pm.
