I have spent my life around pets and other animals, and try to become a friend to each and every one of them. I have success with this, because i have respect and courtesy for all of them. When it comes to dogs, I have been around them my entire life, and cannot imagine my world without them. This is why I choose to take care of them when they are in need. Sometimes their best friends (you) have to part with them for a few days and they need someone to keep routine and make sure they are okay. And they can trust me for that just like they trust you. I am familiar with common training practices and I adhere to what the dog knows best. If your dog is still "in training" I will take the time to work with them while walking about. I am very familiar with puppies and rescues that are still adapting to the world. I am very patient and use positive reward tactics while training. My friend (or pet), Max, is a rescue from a very hard situation. He came home to me at about 2 weeks of age and I have had him in my care from the day he was abandoned. Thats a lot of warmth, love, and friendship to offer. He knows that, and that is why he was resting on top of my shoulders while I wrote this. I am not limited to sitting for dogs. I also have great knowledge of chickens, ducks, parrots, cows, horses, rabbits, reptiles, and even our aquatic friends. Because I grew up on a ranch for most of my life, I have also seen many animal injuries. I am familiar with all kinds of animal first aid from minor cuts and bruises, to recognizing illness or poisoning right away. I am not shy if your animal has been to the vet recently and need shots or pills administered, bandages changed, or to be fed a special diet. This goes for large animals, like horses, as well. I treat every pet companion like my friend. Sometimes friends need to go for a walk, play some ball, or just have company. I will be there for them... And, they know I will bring treats and some positive reinforcement for their day.
