Pet care experience
I have owned dogs and cats for over 12 years, so have experience in grooming, walking and training. I have also volunteer dog walked for 2 years so am experienced in taking care of other people’s pets. I have assisted in the training of some of the dogs I look after more regularly so am more than happy to assist with this. I charge £40 per day as I spend the whole day with your pet, dedicated to their care, and I charge £20 over night as I understand that many dogs do not settle in a different environment and require care throughout the night. During the day we will either be out walking, playing, learning tricks or cuddling - I am there to make sure they have fun with me whilst they are away from you, rather than just being around to let them out a couple of times a day.

Jess is very trustworthy and is a great person to look after your dog. She clearly takes the responsibility seriously and cares about the dogs in her care. I'd recommend her highly.
My puppy Luther, four months old, had never been left before with a dog minder so I was a little anxious however Jess was brilliant with him. Sent me photos of the day including their walks in the park and was so kind. I'd not hesitate to leave any pet with her as she obviously loves animals and looks after them lovingly and carefully. Jess obviously loves dogs! As she greeted Strudel that was evident immediately and so she put the dog at ease straight away. Strudel stayed all afternoon and evening with Jess. They had a lovely long walk through the woods, chasing squirrels and running off steam. When I picked her up she (the dog!) was clean and happy. She would happily go again. We would heartily recommend Jess as a responsible, caring dog sitter.

I have a house with a large garden in a quiet area of Sheffield, with a park and some woods only around the corner. The garden has walls and fences to reduce the risk of any naughty doggy escapes and a hose pipe for any hot days, or muddy walks.

Please let me know which vets your pet is registered at as it is essential that in the case of an emergency, we are able to get them the best care available. In addition, please be aware that I have a cat - she is happy to watch a dog from afar, but will run away if she feels threatened. However, please let me know if your dog is NOT cat friendly as I do not want any difficult situations to arise! Remember, I can always come to you instead. Thank you!
A typical day
I love to take the dogs I walk to local nature reserves and estates for long walks, rather than short park visits. I love cuddle time, so chilling out on the sofa for some cuddles and stokes is always part of our day, along with trick teaching to keep them entertained and of course playing with toys in the garden.

Availability
I am currently working in a local Sheffield vets, so I have relevant clinical knowledge to help me better understand your pet’s needs. Despite my busy schedule, I still have plenty of time for dog walking/sitting in the evenings or at the weekend, whether that is keeping them company in your home, or at my own (as if I don’t see enough cute pets at work already!)
