Pet care experience
I’ve cared for dogs big and small since I was about 6 years old. Whether it be for friends, family or acquaintances, I provide loving and intentional care to the animals I interact with, no matter how long or short that interaction is. I was formerly a kennel attendant in Bowling Green, Kentucky where I cared for, administered medicine to and played with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. I currently reside in Nashville where I work as a Barista and am looking to take on new furry friends to take care of.

Never in my life have I met someone who is more of an animal lover than Jess. She treats her kitty like the queen that she is, and has so much compassion and care for any other animal that comes into her life! Not only that, but she is a great communicator and super flexible. Jess is the best dog sitter there is!

I am able to provide care to your furry friend involving feeding, grooming and lots of playtime and love! I have extensive knowledge on various types of dog breeds, from great danes and mastiffs to tiny toy poodles, and spend much of my own free time researching and watching videos about animals and pets. Before getting any pet of my own, I do extensive research to ensure I am giving the best possible life to my pet. I provide this diligence and care to every pet I meet, including yours! Like every human, every pet is different and deserves the patience and care that I am more than willing to provide in order to create a loving and successful environment whilst in my care.

It’s important for me to know of any aggressive behavior a dog may exhibit and an overall summary of their temperament and routine so that I may replicate the lifestyle they are most used to during my time caring for them. If dogs are less trained or puppies, that is good information to know as well.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs in any way they are comfortable! I’m accustomed to dogs who love to play and those who love to just lounge around and receive pets! I would love to take your dog on walks and I’m even able to take your dog to a dog park to play with other dogs and run around if you and they are comfortable with that! My experience at a dog kennel has provided me with extensive knowledge socializing dogs together and if you are looking to socialize your pet, I can ensure it is done so with care and safety precautions.

Availability
Caring for pets is a part of my daily life as I care every day for my own cat, Sage. I treat her as my own child and hold an immense amount of empathy for all animals and especially pets who mean so much to humans, as I know how much my own pets in my life have impacted me. Having worked at a dog kennel 5 days a week, I have been exposed to pets every day and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
