Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals (my own and other people’s) for over 15 years. I'm a volunteer with Detroit Animal Care and Control and have been fostering cats for them for the past four years. I'm the go-to person for my friends and family when it comes to petsitting. My cat takes daily meds and has a special diet for health reasons, so I am experienced in giving medications and closely monitoring meals. Through my experience with DACC and fostering, I am well-equipped to handle health and behavioral challenges.

Jesalyn is one of the only people I trust with my pets; she is passionate about animals, a dedicated pet owner, and incredibly responsible. Additionally, Jesalyn is super knowledgeable about animals/pets. Recently I reached out to her because my elderly cat JiJi started meowing endlessly, driving me and my family wild with frustration. Jesalyn suggested that I put out a heating pad on a pillow for JiJi because she might be hurting due to the cold weather. She was totally right! JiJi sleeps on the heating pad and meows when it shuts off- she loves it! Jesalyn also watched JiJi for over two weeks while I was on vacation recently, she was very well taken care of. When my dog Walter was a puppy (he is 7 now) Jesalyn helped me teach him not to jump up when visitors came to the house. She loves cats, dogs, and other pets as well. I have known Jesalyn for over 10 years, and she is one of the most reliable and helpful people I have ever met. You will not regret hiring Jesalyn to watch over your beloved pets!
Jessie is a wonderful caretaker to animals of all kinds! She recently cat-sat for me over the course of a week-long trip. I enjoyed daily updates about how my 3 guys were doing, and they seemed very happy when I got home. Additionally I've gotten to meet foster cats & kittens Jessie has cared for, and seen the happiness she brings to dogs she walks as a shelter volunteer. You couldn't ask for a better caretaker for your pets!

The more info about your dog, the better! I want to know likes/dislikes, personality quirks, anything the dog is reactive to, acceptable treats for me to give them, and the kinds of activity you want your dog to have.
A typical day
There are many parks near me that I love to take dogs to, including Belle Isle! I also know which dog parks are likely to be busy (or not) for off-leash play.

Availability
I currently work from home in the afternoons and some evenings, so I have a very flexible schedule. I have my mornings open which is perfect for walking dogs and hanging out with cats.
