I really really hate writing bad reviews for people, but I hope by sharing this no one will leave their pets with Jeremy in the future and experience what I did. I booked Jeremy to stay at my home and care for my dog and cat from Wednesday-Sunday. I specifically booked someone to stay at my home so that my pets would not be alone for long periods of time. I did not book drop in visits for this reason. The reservation began on Wednesday. I did not hear from Jeremy for two days so on Friday I messaged him asking how everything was going. He responded that everything was great and he attached a picture. I assumed all was going well. We have a Nest doorbell which advises us when people arrive or leave our home. On Saturday at approx 12:00 noon I checked our Nest notifications and realized that Jeremy had left at 1:45 am on Saturday morning and had not returned to feed our pets breakfast. I messaged Jeremy at 12:01 p.m. asking if he had fed our pets breakfast as the Nest had not shown that anyone had been to the house. Jeremy responded at 12:16 p.m. and stated "no very sorry I had an appointment at 9 should have been done earlier. I'll be there in 11 mins." I reviewed the rest of the Nest notifications and realized that Jeremy had not stayed at the house at all during the reservation. I told Jeremy to feed our pets breakfast and leave the key in our dropbox and not return to the home as I was not comfortable having him care for my pets anymore. After going through my Nest notifications, I realized that not only did he not stay at my home overnight as was agreed, he only spent 10 minutes Thursday morning and 14 minutes Friday morning at my home to feed them breakfast. This is barely enough time for them to eat, much less have any sort of human interaction before he left again for the next 12 hours. At no time during the reservation did Jeremy bring up any issues with my pets, the home, or anything else. On Saturday I requested a full refund as Jeremy did not provide the services agreed to, and frankly endangered the welfare of my pets by feeding them breakfast more than 6 hours later than normal. After I requested the refund, Jeremy alleged that he had seen two bedbugs in our guest room on Wednesday night and was therefore uncomfortable staying at the home, so he decided to just do drop in visits. There have never been any signs of bedbugs in my home and when I returned home on Sunday I stripped the bed and searched for any signs of bedbugs, of which I found none. Even if Jeremy did see a bedbug, there is absolutely no excuse for his actions. If Jeremy did in fact see a bedbug and was uncomfortable staying at my home, he should have immediately contacted me to advise me of the issue and make alternate arrangements. I never heard of any issues from Jeremy and when I contacted him on Friday to ask how things were going, he advised everything was going great. The bedbug issue never came up until I requested a refund from Jeremy. Jeremy took it upon himself to unilaterally change the reservation to drop in visits without my consent, and never advised me that he was not staying at my home. I would have never agreed to drop in visits as I specifically booked him to stay at my home because I did not want my pets left alone for long periods of time, including overnight. Had I learned of this issue on Wednesday night, I would have immediately made other arrangements for someone else to stay with my pets for the remainder of my trip. Jeremy refused to give me a refund, so the matter was escalated to Rover who gave me a 50% refund based on the circumstances. I feel genuinely sad for anyone who has had him watch their pets in the past. He clearly does not care about other people's animals. Jeremy takes no responsibility for his actions and obviously does not even think it is a big deal that he did not stay overnight. It is terrifying to think that I may not have ever known that Jeremy was not staying at my home and that my pets ate more than 6 hours later than normal (and only after I messaged Jeremy) if I did not have my Nest doorbell. I honestly do not think that Jeremy should be listed as a sitter on this site as he does not care about the well-being of animals and is clearly untrustworthy. I would caution anyone considering Jeremy as a sitter to look elsewhere.

We are very happy with the care our high-strung German Shepherd received from Jeremy. We dropped off an extremely nervous dog and returned to pick up a happy, healthy, relaxed pet -which was never the case after a stay in a kennel. What more can you ask for?
