Fun, loving, gentle, and patient!

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of dogs my whole life, but recently have "adopted" my girlfriend's dog as my son (he lives with her, no dogs in the home). I LOVE all furry friends, and particularly am happy to work with nervous pups who need someone who is a little patient. I've walked dogs a lot in the past, and have the strength to hold even the stronger dogs if they're trying to pull. I'm honored that you would trust me in with your child!

Jeremy was extremely communicative, accommodating, and very empathetic to my pup's issues. I very much appreciated his energy and enthusiasm. Would definitely choose Jeremy again to watch over Sky!

Great pet sitter. Our dog has a bad leg from an old accident, and the foot sometimes bleeds and requires a bit of special care. Jeremy was fantastic about the whole thing - we were actually put very much at ease by his medical background. Went out of his way to get gauze and bandage it up on a day when it was acting up more than usual. He is also genuinely one of the nicest people I have interacted with. Great guy, can't recommend him highly enough.

Safety, trust & environment

I tend to have a very patient approach, and work with the dog's energy. I've had a lot of experience reading body language, so can definitely tell if someone is nervous, excited, or just annoyed. At my house, I personally have no problem with them sleeping in my room, but I also understand that a crate can be a comfort space. I have a 2 story-home with a paved backyard which would be all accessible by the dog as you/they wish. If they prefer to be out of their crate when no one is home, I can provide different sources of stimulation to keep them happy and entertained (towel-treat puzzles, etc). All of our food is away from reach and I'm very disciplined about no table scraps, no matter how cute their puppy dog eyes are. At a client's home, I would simply just follow your preferences on how to keep the environment as consistent and comfortable as possible.

Information Jeremy M. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know how they interact with other dogs/people. We do have people coming in/out of the house to visit (friends/family), and the neighborhood has a plethora of dogs. Just knowing how to best create a safe and happy environment for the dog is ideal!

A typical day

I LOVE to walk around my neighborhood, which is just one of the dog friendliest walks possible. Depending on the dog/owner we even have a dog park in the area that pups love to go to! I have plenty of balls for some games of catch in the house/backyard, and I love making little doggy puzzles like wrapping treats in towels, etc.

Availability

As a med student I have periods of complete freedom, and being completely swamped. If it shows that I am available I would be able to easily walk/let the dog out 2+ times a day, plus even more in the evening. My routine when I'm on a shift is relatively stable at 9-5, but I live a 4 minute walk from the hospital so it's very easy for me to stop back home and check on someone at lunchtime as well.
