i love both cats and dogs, and for whatever reason, they all like me. i've been called a "whisperer" by more than one client in the past, even though i don't claim that title myself. visiting a friend's house and their cat or dog immediately flop at my feet or lie in my lap...friend will always say "they never do that!" or "they won't even do that with me!" not a lot of experience with medications or shots, but a fast learner with some guidance. that can be said for any sort of instruction/specific need! i once watched the meanest cat in the world for an entire week...seriously, i used to help my uncle trap feral cats on his farm, and Pip put them all to shame. i survived with nary a bite or scratch, but probably the most creative bag of "handling equipment" i've ever packed. (he ended up not needing any of it, thankfully)
