My name’s Jeremy, and thanks for your interest in my profile. I’ve been a fan of animals since before I could walk. I’m currently enrolled in Veterinary Technician school so I can create a career caring for our furry friends, but I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, worked at dog daycares, interned at the Denver and Honolulu Zoos, and even ran a pet-sitting business when I was young. In addition to this, I have an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology. I’ve worked with animals in one form or another since I was a kid, and I have many years of experience. I believe our pets deserve to be happy, healthy, and well-exercised, and my goal as a dog walker is to make sure your pups have an enjoyable and safe experience - and to bring some relief to their busy guardians! I’m also available as a pet sitter for any species - cat or dog, furry or scaly. Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have further questions. I don't simply want to give your pets food and water and call it a day - I want to make sure they're emotionally healthy as well. Every animal I work with is given attention, exercise, and an overall positive experience. As a rule, I don't let the dogs I'm walking interact with other dogs on trail. Your pup could be perfectly friendly, but there's no way to know how other dogs will react. I'll use treats to distract your dog from other dogs, so long as they don't have dietary restrictions.

I would like to know their overall temperament, how they react to other dogs, and whether or not they're heavy leash-pullers, so I can be best prepared for walks. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors to consider.
A typical day
I love walking dogs through forested or natural areas, so there are far more interesting sights (and smells!) for them. I try to find a middle ground between letting dogs stop and sniff every tree, while also moving forward at a steady pace, so the pup gets to sniff around while still getting a good amount of exercise. If the area has access to rivers or lakes, I'll let the dogs wade in and cool off. I use treats as positive reinforcement as long as the pup's guardian approves.

I'm currently between school semesters and attempting to make my schedule as flexible as possible. As of this moment, I can typically adjust my schedule to care for your pets at most times during the day, so my aim is to fit my schedule around yours. Please note I will be out of town from July 8-23.
