Hi, I’m Jeremy. I recently graduated from UNC. I studied Kinesiology while I was there and developed a passion for movement and anatomy. Prior to Rover I bartended fulltime but with the late hours and inflexible schedule it made it difficult to navigate student life but also make a living. Once I graduated I continued caring for pups because I love meeting all the cute, quirky dog personalities! I believe exercise is an important part of living a disease free life not only for humans but also for our pets. My husband and I recently purchased a home in Mebane NC. We have a fully fenced in back yard where the pups get a ton of exercise and sun lounging time. We also have two adorable dogs, Koda (18 pound Shiba Inu) and Atlas (65 pound German Shepard mix). I like to be as active as possible so we often go on hikes or visit dog friendly places around town (breweries, parks etc.) Atlas and Koda have been with me since before I started Rover and they have been incredibly socialized as a result. They get along with all animals and humans and because of their laid back personalities they have a somewhat calming effect on other dogs. I grew up on a small family farm so I have many years of experience with all varieties of animals, especially dogs. I had my first pet dog at the age of 2, a cute little Shih Tzu named China. I have some medical training as well so if medication needs to be administered I am completely comfortable with doing so. I do offer special pricing for farm owners that want to take a vacation, Just ask! I currently work at Duke Human Vaccine Institute. I work partially from home but I do have to go to the office a few hours every day, Monday through Friday. My schedule is very flexible as well. I have wide open availability on the weekends. I have a fenced in back yard for your pups to stretch their legs in. I try to keep the pups on the same schedule they would be on with their owners in regards to feeding times and bathroom breaks. I have gates set up to ensure no dogs bombard the door and try to escape and I double leash dogs that have a strong prey drive or are prone to extreme pulling while on walks. Regarding Pictures, Videos and daily updates: I send written updates, most days. I DO NOT spam my clients phones with pictures and videos. On a week long stay a client can expect to receive 3-5 pictures or videos. If you need more pictures or videos of your pet then I would be more than happy to comply, just ask! I have dogs of my own. I just incorporate other dogs routines into my dogs routine so there's a completely seamless transition from home to boarding. I have gates around the house to control where dogs go. I alwasy conduct a meet and greet with new clients so I can get a feel for the dogs temperment. I DO NOT take hostile dogs. I also crate dogs that are crated regularly. I try to keep every dog as close to their regular routine as possible. If that doesn't include being crated then your dog would not be crated during their stay.
