Pet care experience
Every pet is different! I am happy to be flexible to suit your dog's needs! I am a kind and active dog owner/walker/runner and a good listener. I will talk and play with your dog and let your dog sniff at things. :) I have 7 years experience and I currently work at home doing editing/ writing so I have some flexibility with scheduling. I own one very friendly Aussie who does not try to be dominant. I have one old cat who keeps to herself. I live in Iowa City. I will walk/ play in all weather. I like to jog, bike, hike, read, and see friends. I have children with me every other week. They are also kind and respectful to all animals and animal lovers.

If you're looking for someone to walk or pet-sit your dog, then you want Jenny! I couldn't have asked for a more caring, responsible, and conscientious person to take care of my boxer, Lola. Jenny walked Lola for four days a week for almost a year during a busy season at work. She always made sure that Lola had fresh water and often sent me pictures of Lola or updates on how the walk went. I really feel like Jenny treated Lola like her own dog. In addition to dog walking, Jenny also pet-sit for Lola when I was out of town. So much better than boarding her! Lola got to play with Jenny's dog, Dux, and go on lots of walks, of course. Overall, Jenny is wonderful to work with, and I completely trust her with Lola. I can't recommend her enough!
Jenny would make an excellent dog caregiver because she is responsible and very well organized. She is a loving caregiver to her own dog and also to her cat. Jenny can juggle many balls in the air at the same time: she takes care of her children, her pets, and her home while meeting deadlines in her professional life. She is also physically fit and a strong woman so that she can handle both small and large dogs with equal ease. I have known Jenny for decades and can recommend her with no reservations.

A typical day
I will give your dog many walks, fetches, and pets. I will not overtreat. :) I also have a car that the dog can fit in the back of so that we can go to a park. Though my neighborhood is very dog friendly and there is open space to play or hang out in my fenced in yard.
