Peace of mind, safety, fun!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jenny and I’m here to give your dog some extra love! I am a social worker in a high pressure environment so I have experience handling difficult situations. That being said, I love when I am able to help care for your beloved pets and make sure they’re feeling special even while you’re away from them for a little bit. Whenever I have a few days off, I’m spending time with my family (including my dog, and three little fish) and the awesome pups that I sit! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, I’d love to meet yours! I have cared for dogs for about 10 years, both in home, at dog’s homes, and on walks/in parks. I joined Rover the summer of 2017, and I have had so much fun meeting a ton of great dogs and their wonderful owners! I have experience with walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. One of my favorite things to do while I’m dog sitting is head out to trails on nature reserves since there are so many beautiful forests in this part of the state. Dog-friendly trails provide opportunities for dogs to socialize with other pups, play in nature, and run off some of that energy! I have experience with both small and very large dogs, so I am comfortable in a variety of situations. I am flexible in activity level, whether it’s a brand new puppy with lots of energy, or an old timer who loves to take it easy. I look forward to connecting with you and your dog!

Jenny was great! She played with our dog, took her on walks and communicated a lot. I highly recommend her to care for your pet.

Jenny was great about visiting our cat each day we were away on vacation. She did everything we needed her to do in order to make sure he was well-cared for and loved. We will certainly be contacting her again for future trips.

We are so thankful to have had Jenny watch our two dogs Georgie and Gracie while we were away for a week. It was such peace of mind to know someone was here with them at night and made sure their needs were met each day. Jenny went above and beyond to reassure us that the dogs were doing well with daily photos:) She was reliable, considerate, and very professional. I hope we can rebook her again in the future!

Jenny made fast friends with our little old man, a special needs Boston Terrier when we took a much needed vacation. She was flexible, dependable and responsive as the universe seemed to be conspiring against us in the weeks and days prior to our departure. While we were away she took great care of the little guy and sent updates every day. We returned to a house that was virtually unchanged from the way we left it. We hope Jenny will be available to house and dog sit for all our future travel.

Information Jenny B. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if they are comfortable around other dogs (in case walking/running in a dog-friendly area would be an option). I don’t have any breed restrictions, as I have experience with many different breeds, both big and small. I’ve taken care of Irish wolfhounds and German Shepherds, to cocker spaniels and yorkies. Let me know if your dog has any major fears or worries (vacuum, other dogs, loud noises, cars, etc.) so that I can work to avoid those things or try to ease any anxiety. Also, if there’s a special treat that your dog can have to reward good behavior, I’d love to have that on hand!

A typical day

I am open to activities that each individual dog enjoys! I typically head to the closest nature conservation land for a shady walk with plenty of dogs around and an occasional swim in a pond. If your dog loves to swim, then I’ll be sure to make a special trip to a pond so that they can cool off! (I also totally understand if swimming is off-limits for your pup). If your dog doesn’t do so well around other dogs, not to worry. I can take your dog on a neighborhood walk where we aren’t likely to run into other pups. Its always great to play fetch, frisbee, soccer, or tug of war with dogs too. It’s a great way to get energy and nerves out while still being able to rest or take a break whenever needed, which is a bit trickier while out on the trails. Your dog’s safety is my number one priority, with their happiness coming in at a close second. If your dog loves a particular activity or has a least favorite, just let me know! I’ll be sure to send plenty of photos and updates while your dog is with me, so you can have some peace of mind while you’re away from your pet!
