Right now I am enrolled in graduate school in NYC--I am fully available on weekends, but generally not during the week because I have class or internship in the city Monday-Thursday. My first dog was a Boxer named Rocky who I cared for as a child and teenager, throughout his 10 year life. He grew to be 90 lbs and has given me experience with large dogs. In more recent times, I have sat for large dogs and small dogs for as long as 7 days in a row. This care included overnight stays, watching multiple dogs at once, frequent walks, feeding and lots of play-time! This has also given me experience dispensing medication to dogs, using pill pockets and peanut butter to give pills. Most recently, I lived on a nature preserve where abandoned or stray dogs and puppies would show up and need care. This care included flea treatment, nourishment, play and love! I have also recently volunteered at a humane society, where I walked large dogs with different temperaments for half an hour intervals on a public path.
