Hi! I'm Jen! I and I am an arts elementary school teacher. I have an 8 year old dog named Harper which my husband and I adopted at 2 yrs. I love animals and always make sure they are getting the needed walks and attention they deserve. I promise you can trust me to spoil your pet and follow your expectations! I have used Rover for my own dog rather than boarding her at a pet hotel because she gets too nervous when kept in a crate. Plus, those places don’t give enough one-on-one attention that every dog deserves. I am super picky when it comes to someone watching my dog and I know how nerve racking it can be when trusting someone new with your own pet. Feel free to ask me any questions and I look forward to caring for your furry family member! As of January, I have a newborn in the house so I am going to be decreasing the amount of dogs I sit, but I am always open to seeing if it would work out. If you have two dogs, I will have to wait until my daughter is a little older because it may be too much right now. I will only take calm dogs that don’t pull on a leash and are good with kids. Jennifer was really wonderful with our Bella and she kept on sending me pictures of how happy Bella was. She even gave her a Christmas gift ? Bella is a Golden retriever and Jennifer and her husband played with her throwing balls and taking her for walks. Even her baby played with Bella. I have a fenced yard with a sunroom which is always open for the dogs to go in and out of. If I need to run an errand, I will leave them in the back yard but they will always have access to the indoor sunroom if they want to come inside. I have extra dog beds for sleepovers and do allow them to get on the couch...if we all fit:)

I have no breed preferences as long as they aren't aggressive. I would like to do a meet and greet with Harper first to make sure they will at least tolerate each other without issue and they must be good with kids.
A typical day
I have several parks and pathways around the neighborhood I take my dog to. She gets two walks a day. I have a decent size backyard that your pet will have access to. Every morning, my dog Harper is ready for playtime, so we either play in the back yard or in the sunroom. Her favorite games are keep away and tug-a-war.

Availability
I am back to work now but have a nanny at home with my daughter all day. I would be walking your dog in the morning and when I return, but the nanny will be there to keep your pet company. I would like to sit your dog on the weekend when I am home before leaving your dog with the nanny. Harper’s favorite game is tug-a-war but she is completely content playing with her own toys while I play fetch with a ball dog. Harper is not a ball dog so if yours is, they will have it all to themselves:)
