Cozy condo stay or time for play

Pet care experience

Hello potential Rover Client, My husband and I live in a three story town home in the westside of the city. We are both dog lovers but currently are not dog parents. We do have a four pawed friend, our 6 year old lionhed dwarf bunny. She would not have any interaction with your pup seeing as she has her own room that dogs are not allowed in. Our "guestroom" is her room. We have a small back yard but we are close to parks and live in a great quiet neighborhood for walks. My husband is a Full Time Electrician and I am a Full Time Rover employee and stay at home wife (no kids). We are very responsible and Professional animal handlers and owners. Both my husband and I come from families of breeders and trainers. My husbands family bred and trained Yellow Labradors (no longer breeding but they are still active trainers). My family bred AKC German Shepherd's and trained them (both are currently retired). When I was old enough I worked for my parents training our Pups and other large "tough" breeds. I received my Canine Care Specialist education from my mother and from classes at the Agricultural school in Norfolk, MA. My husband and I both know a lot about training, behavior and more so never hesitate to ask us questions or for our help with anything while your pups are in our care! We hope you allow us to love and care for your pups while your away or at work.

Jenny is fabulous! Our pup, Mowgi, is high energy and high anxiety and Jenny makes him feel so at home. He gets so excited when she comes to take him for a walk. More importantly, I feel so comfortable knowing Jenny and Shane are taking care of Mowgli. They are so attentive, knowledgable and always have his best interests in mind. Jenny is proactive, easy to communicate with and helpful when it comes to those unexpected life changes. Jenny and Shane are the best - I wouldn't leave my dogs with anyone else!

Jennifer is wonderful as person and dog walker! So great with my Indie girl! Indie is normally a barker and skittish around new people (especially having Chow in her), but took to Jennifer right away!! She is very knowledgeable about the health and well-being of dogs and other small animals! Oh and so very caring!!!

I was worry at first because she is new, but after we had a talk, we are very confident that our Nikko is in a good hands, she sent us pics while we’re on vacation to give us a sense of togetherness with our Nikko, I will recommend her to anyone who interested in having their pets taking care of which on vacation or any event

Information Jennifer F. would like to know about your pet

There are a lot of things we like to know before accepting a booking. Our information requested varies depending on the service that is booked. When we have a Meet and Greet we will go through all of these questions together to make sure your pet, my care and my home are good fits for each other. Of course basic daily routine and feeding will be inquired about but somethings above and beyond that would be: Has your dog ever had or currently have any medical issues, medications, or allergies? Has your dog ever been injured by an accident or another animal? Have they ever injured an animal or person? Does your dog have any anxiety issues and if so what types? Has your dog ever stayed with someone else before? Where there any issues or behavioral changes? These are just a few of the many questions we go over at a meet and greet to assure your pet gets a customized care plan fit to their routine and needs while they are with us or under our care.

A typical day

Boarding: When Boarding your pet will be cared for by myself and my Husband. We do host Doggy Daycare Monday- Friday for one dog at a time so your pet will have socialization with daycare clients, however we can keep them separate upon request or if it is required. It is our goal to host one family at a time with boarding, providing a personalized service. However, there are a few exceptions to this. During the Holidays (summer and winter) we will host two families to allow new clients and existing clients to find responsible boarding, unless one client has a "special case" and their pet must be boarded alone. In emergency cases where an existing client experiences a personal emergency and needs boarding; if this happens, we will reach out to both families for approval of a double booking. Otherwise we only have one slot available for one family. There are instances where they may be an overlap in Pick up and Drop off times from one board to the next. If that is the case both families will be informed of such overlap. I currently have walking clients Monday-Friday from the hours of 12:30-2:30pm and this will be the only time your dog is alone during their stay. Boarding includes three walks a day, frequent potty breaks in the yard on an 8ft lead, a new toy, potty bags, feeding dishes while they are here and a selection of treats. In good weather, on Saturdays we will bring our boarding clients to the dog park or a dog friendly park for free. Boarding is for 24 hour periods (For example you book a one night stay and drop off your dog at 7am, pick up will be 7am the next day) Pick ups after the 24 hour time limit will be subjected to an additional $5 per hour or a daycare fee (which ever will be cheaper) We do offer free pick up and drop off services to clients within 15 miles of our home. We offer many additional services to our boarding: Grooming which includes a bath, brushing, and nail trimming is $15. Dog Park Day can be arranged for an additional $5 (free on Saturdays in good weather) Vet Visit/Grooming appointment Taxi for an additional $10 Puppy Training and Consultation $5 a day Doggy Daycare: When booking daycare for your Pup they will be spending the day with myself, and occasionally my husband. Daycare services are hosted from 7am-7pm Monday-Friday. We do offer early drop off and late pick up for an additional $5 per hour. It is possible that we have a pet boarded with us during the time your pet is here for daycare. If that is the case both families will be notified of this and we are able to separate if requested or required. I have walking clients Monday-Friday from 12:30pm-2:30pm and this will be the only time your pet will be alone during the day. The Puppy Rate includes Training School, Behavioral correction, Dietary consultations, frequent potty breaks in the yard on an 8ft lead, potty bags, reserved toys for repeat clients, feeding dishes while they are here and a selection of treats. The Adult Dog rate includes two walks a day, frequent potty breaks in the yard on an 8ft lead, potty bags, reserved toys for repeat clients, feeding dishes while they are here and a selection of treats. We offer many additional services to our Daycare: Grooming which includes a bath, brushing, and nail trimming is $15. Dog Park Day can be arranged for an additional $5 Vet Visit/Grooming appointment Taxi for an additional $10 Dog Walking: When booking a Dog walk your pup will be spending their time with me exclusively. I offer both 30- and 60-min walks. 30-minute walks are only available in the neighborhood you live in. The goal is to do a mile but of course depends on each dog and their needs. 60 min walks are available in your neighborhood but also are available at a park for an additional $10. If you opt for a park walk a designated pick up time will be arranged between us and the walk tracking will begin once your pup and I reach the park, there we will spend an hour together before heading back to your home. Drop-in Visits: When booking a Drop in Visit your dog (or cat) will be working with me exclusively. I offer both 30- and 60- minute drop-in appointments. A drop in visit would consist of a potty break and playtime in your own yard and any other pet care required (like feeding, fresh water, fresh pee pads). A 60-minute Drop in is available to add additional services to such as: Vet Visit/Grooming appointment Taxi for an additional $15 Puppy Training and Consultation $5 a day
