About the Sitter: I am an animal lover who cares for all pets like they're my own. I provide in-home pet care, drop-ins & drop-offs, and boarding in your home or mine. If a pet stays at my home, (s)he is welcome on my couch, bed or anywhere else. I have a fenced-in backyard, and dogs have the option to go in/out whenever they choose. But, let me take a moment to tell you about an experience 8+ yrs ago when my mom, who I lived with at the time, hired a pet-sitter who didn't know I was home. At the time, I laid on my couch, under the covers, and listened to the sitter (Sam) walk into my house. I listened as Sam trained another sitter. But, I was quiet, and I didn’t move. And, just as Sam entered the room where I laid, I looked through a peep hole to watch Sam run past all 3 of my dogs, without petting them, and she quickly opened the blinds. (Which was Sam’s way of proving she was present). Then, as she ran back to my kitchen where the other sitter waited, Sam further explained “the duties of a sitter” while she quickly wrote a note to my mom saying she walked & played with my dogs for 45 min, and they drank lots of water before she fed them. Well, I was shocked & highly upset. Particularly because my mom often bought gifts & cakes for Sam. But, more than that, I understood why pet owners need to know their pet is in good hands. So, let me take this time to reiterate to you, that, not only will I NEVER neglect any animal, or human for that matter, I couldn't fathom the idea of deceiving or disrespecting a client or any human who trusts me to walk into their home to care for their pet. Or, vice versa for the pets I board. More than that, I can put you ease about your pet because, when I care for pet, I take tons of pictures & videos, and constantly send them to you via text or email. I grew up rescuing & caring for rabbits, hamsters, turtles, kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, fish, snakes, et al., and my immediate family has owned a Siberian Husky, Saint Bernard, 2 English Mastiffs, 3 Chihuahuas, 2 Poodles, 4 Jack Russell's, and more. I will walk/care for your pet at any hour of the day, and am open to all requests & suggestions. I have old-school, decorous values, and my word is my contract. But, I have no problem signing any agreement if required. Last, I am a certified (medical) massage therapist who occasionally provides therapy to family members, but I prefer massage therapy on dogs, especially dogs with arthritis. But, if your initial fee is quoted in error, then the sitter can adjust your (quoted) fee thereafter, usually after your first Meet & Greet.
